Very nice. Does Ebert browse the forums or did somebody email him the link?

Hrm, so if Ebert peruses the forums, I think we need to get him to register.

I have been a long time admirer of Ebert's work. Glad he checked out and suggested DVD Talk

I remember when Ebert was sick a while back he wrote that message out to everyone. In it he referred to the fact that he no longer checks forums too much do to the addictive nature of them. Methinks Ebert has returned to the dark side! If you're in here, I didn't get to catch you at the film festival this year at U of I, but know that all of us here (both students and faculty) appreciate you efforts.

oh, and even though your reviews are spot on for most movies, you were still wrong about spiderman.

geoff, anyway to find out if he's a registered member aside from emailing the guy directly?

Well, I finally caught up with this thread, after catching up with my original thread. I was on vacation during the "excitement", but returned on Sunday to find an email from a friend asking "Is that you Ebert mentioned in his column?" I have to admit, it was pretty cool to find that Ebert was aware of my work.

Glad to be a part of getting some free publicity for DVDTalk!

Maybe he already has.

Has anyone seen Classicman and Ebert in the same room?

Man, that's really great that he reads the forum! What a cool nod.

Schizopack, what are you referring to in "I remember when Ebert was sick a while back he wrote that message out to everyone."?
