They're now at the top of everyone's post, by their email, profile, etc. Along with Yahoo identity and ICQ number.

They don't bother me all that much, but the way I see it is it's not too hard to just click someone's profile to get their AIM name. It's just sort of pointless. It just takes up more space at the top there.

I like it. I think it's a great idea, and a good alternative to the forum PM.

Yeah, and all the "space at the top there" is at such a premium...

I just love the fact that all these guys in this forum that have ICQ will now have a pretty little flower every time they post.

We activated this because the Private Messaging feature on the forum would take more resources and bandwith than we can use right now, so it provides people with an easy way to connect to eachother instantly

What's interesting is that I have AIM listed, but my little icon isn't showing up.

ok, it looks like icons are only visible here, and not on the other forums. What gives? i was just about to test them...
Also, how does it work when the buddy list is blocked?

Yeah, I was going to comment that these icons "disappeared", but then come here and see them....

I think it is a great idea too.

Complex reason why they weren't in other... The way the forum is set up the change was to one template set and not another but I've sort of fixed it now so that other has the IM buttons.

Only problem is I fouled something up so I can't seem to get OTHER to do the single banner v/ the 4 box shots.

Can you fix the AIM link so that the window saying, "You must have AIM installed for these features to work" doesn't pop up every time? I know I need to have AIM! I have AIM!!


Maybe put text at the top of the AIM options window?

Or do you not have any control over how that works?
