Poker Industries Ad?

I seem to have problems with their Flash ad. There's other Flash ads that aren't problematic for my computer, but when this Flash ad slows down my computer, I figure it might be a problem for people with other slower computers. Once I'm able to scroll the stupid thing off my screen there's no problem, but if it's on my screen and I'm trying to type a reply, my text shows up slow, it slows down WinAmp music, and just degrades performance.

FYI: AMD Thunderbird 1.1 GHz, 1 gig RAM, IE 6.0, Win2k, Cable Internet - shouldn't be a problem, but it is.

Can you post a link? Might make it easier for Geoff to complain to the ad server....

I'll try next time I see it, but it's a flash ad, so I'm not too positive I can provide a link to it.

Here's the ad that slows my computer down - I don't know why exactly it happens, but it's just for the first few seconds of the ad animation. And once I scroll it off the screen, no problems...I can live with it, just letting ya know.

Sorry to confuse...

Just try and scroll when that ad is on the screen - scrolling is jerky and hard to control, but the second it's off the screen, I'm able to scroll smoothly.

Oh well...guess it's just my problem.

I was obtusely referring to the usernames of the two people posting here.

I knew that, I was just trying to provide more information so someone could maybe help me with my problem.

But it is odd that I'm now at my parents house and have no problems with the ad. It's gotta be related to what we're running me thinks.

My Computer: IE6, Win2k
Parents Comp: IE5.5, Win98

mmmm, my new fav. smiley
Mine: IE6 WinXP

I never noticed it at work, where I'm running IE6 & 2k. But now I do, and I dislike it.
