You need to remember that any image you try to post has to end with an image extension that our forum software recognizes. The two most common are .jpg and .gif.

In this particular case, you seemed to be trying to link to the page, rather than the image you wanted to link. To get the image link, you need to do the following: for Netscape, you should be able to right click and select copy image link from the context menu; with IE, you have to right click on the image, select properties and then triple click (or highlight) the Address/URL for the image.

Then, in your post, just surround the image with [.img][/img] tags and you should be fine. (no period, that was just so you could see the code.)

If the pictures aren't showing up properly for others, then the site (as X noted in your first post) doesn't allow linking images to bulletin boards like this. You might be able to see, but that's because it's already loaded in your cache. If others are complaining of red x's when you see the image, that's probably the reason.

i think i got iti figure you have to keep the pixals down under 640,for quick and proper loading,

one thing Blade,after properties.

is there anyway to put the address in the "IMG" box without typing it

Copy and paste it from the URL you see when you look at the picture's properties.

Once you have the properties box up on the screen, you just need to put your mouse over the Address/URL of the image and click three times in quick succession. This should highlight the link. Then, right click on the highlighted link and select Copy from the menu. Then, go to whereever it is that you want to put that link, right click in that area and select Paste from the menu. That should do it.

Alternatively, you can just highlight the link (by clicking and dragging your mouse over the text of the url) and then do the right click stuff I mentioned.

If you want to get fancy, instead of right clicking once the link is highlighted, you can hit the CTRL and C keys to Copy and then the CTRL and V keys to paste.
