If it wasn't for DVDTalk, I'd be DEAD

Ok, not that extreme, but very close.

Last night, I was hoping to sit back and watch DVDTalk's highly recommended Citizen Kane. It's a bit cold in Chicago, so I went over to my heater and turned it up a bit. Nothing happened. Since I know zero about HVAC, I decided it isn't in my best interest to find my pilot. My landlord is out of town for a few days, so I was basically on my own.

I called up fellow Chicagoan jpalm (albeit a Packers fan, but hey, we all have our flaws ) and asked to stay at his place. He ended up going to a party, but I had my own when his Victoria Secret neighbor showed up ... (OK, moving to the Shaggy Forum)

Anyway, thanks Geoff!

Well, most of that is true. I highly doubt the "Evil Victoria Secret's Working Neighbor Girl" showed up, b/c Abs wouldn't have been able to shut up about it if she did.

Then the next morning I even fixed his furnace for him. What a nice guy I am. I can't decide if I should charge his landlord (who did nothing to help him out) for my services. What is a fair rate on a holiday?

He should at least buy you a DVD for putting him up for the night.

I got breakfast the next morning (thanks Abs!), but I'm thinking I should send a bill to the landlord for my repair services anyway.

Yeah, she did mention that your performance was rather "lacking."

Pilot light was out....and sorry no pics of the neighbor. You can see her at Victoria's Secret on Michigan Ave., but I won't tell you which one is her.
