How are new forums chosen?

Is there a procedure for adding new forums to DVDTalk?

It seems to be whenever the Other forum gets cluttered with one type of post or another.

Basically when enough people show interest, and it's relatively on topic, i.e. Video Game Talk and DVD Audio & Music Talk. Book Talk is the one exception (i.e. not remotely dvd/hometheater/shopping related), but it was something members expressed interest in, and Geoff shared the interest and put up the forum.

Geoff prays 10 times to the God of DVD Forums. If he is given a sign, then thou shalt be done. However, if no sign is received, Geoff sacrifices 100 Battleship Earth DVDs to appease the Angry DVD Forum God.

And even if the Angry DVD Forum God is not appeased, the sacrificial act still has positive public service ramifications.
