What's Up With All These New Cookies?

All these "new" cookies are getting annoying. Do we have to have them? For those of us at work that try to limit cookies on their computers it is awful. I spend more time refusing cookies now than I do browsing and posting. I know nothing will probably change, but I just thought I would voice my displeasure.

Many of the affiliate companies we work with set cookies with their ads so we can get credit for the sale when you buy at their store.

The only real new cookies you should see are in the Other Forum which we are testing some new ad types which require cookies.

If you use ie 6 then you can easily block all the cookies you want....

Thanks! I didn't realize that those extra cookies were being generated only when I was doing something in the Otter Forum...all those hungry, hungry otters (ok, that was a poor excuse for a Hungry Hippo ripoff, but I had too).
