Fine, de-bigbirdified (with belated apologizes to buskerdog for screwing with his logos):

Yeah, I can definitely see that. But on the original, the "V" is emphasised for no real reason. I'd have to go with namja's pick either way, though.

wonder if that could happen this year.

OK, Here's the latest:

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far far away....

No really, a while ago I contacted a company here in Portland who does T-shirts, I met with them, got a catalogue and said as soon as we figured out the logo thing we do t-shirts.

That was quite a while ago and we've been going back and forth over the whole logo thing.

The other week I got an e-mail from the company saying they've been following all the posts on the forum about T-shirts and that if we can't decide on a new logo, why not use our existing logo?

Other than the fact that the logo looks a little 'fuzzy' I couldn't think of a reason no to give it a try. So he's printed up a few samples and I am meeting with him later this week.

T-shirts WILL happen!

Love that idea. If you're worried about it being fuzzy ... I'll make you one suitable for printing purposes.

Here's a nice, big EPS version of the current DVD Talk logo. I included the CMYK mix for the blue also.

This has been my preference all along. I haven't liked any of the new logos yet; I'm probably in the minority, though.

Geoff, assuming you go with the existing logo for THIS year's t-shirts (), then will polo's be offered also? In Randyc's poll, there seemed to be quite a few people who would pay for polo shirts. What colors are the t-shirts (and possibly polo's) going to be? I assume the logo will continue to be blue.

I like some of the new logos, but I'd rather the shirt match the page. If the current DVD Talk logo isn't going anywhere, then (if possible) it seems the obvious choice for shirts.

Geoff,
Please devise a way that Canadians can pay via money order, as I'd much like to order a TSHIRT or two, but don't have access to a credit card.

Thanks for you consideration, and good luck with the T-Shirt project.

OK. I got the sample. Not too crazy about the way it looks. It's just too plain. Trying to figure out what would make it look better....

Also I don't think the DVD Talk color prints well on white at all. I saw a sample on black that looked a little better....

Yeah, the logo's blue is about half as dark as it probably should be ... compared to how it looks online. And maybe we should brainstorm a better tag line. There's been all manner of "Got milk" knockoffs. Maybe just a bigger logo on the back, with the web address?

That does not look too bad at all, though I agree the logo needs to be darker. Also, the actual T-Shirt material itself looks very thin and cheap. Is it possible maybe to do it with a Hanes Beefy-T or another higher quality T-Shirt base.

I don't mind the slogan on the back...it is good for starters. If the shirts sell well, you could always put out a new version next year as well.

The baseball cap looks nice. Maybe not white though.. grey or black?

As for the shirts... how about adding a small "DVD Talk" line along the sleeve? I've seen some companies do that and it makes it look a little more official, especially with polo shirts. Just throwing ideas out.

Isn't the women's T supposed to have a plunging neck line or something?

They look pretty good. Prices seem very fair, too. I agree about the one above - needs a much darker "DVDTalk" on the front.

How about including "Widescreen is better" on the back, too?

The "Got DVD" is pretty lame, IMHO.
As someone mentioned before, there all kinds of knockoff "Got Milk" things, and makes the shirt just seem like another knockoff, which it is not.

Also, the front needs to be a different color.

The logo would have even less contrast on grey.
