Are rankings customizable?

This is a stupid thing but I find the ranking "DVD Talk Addict" a little, I don't know, annoying. It makes me feel somehow dirty. I guess I could pad like mad to get to the next ranking but is there any way to change it?

I don't think they're customizable on your end, but it's possible to create custom titles for individual users in the admin software....

i doubt you'd get custom cuz then everyone would want it. Just go post a bunch. Go to the Other Forum they will suck you in and your post count will be up in no time

I can change them globally.

If anyone has suggestions for revisions, let me know. They're not set in stone.

I mentioned this once before but got no response. I thought that for reviewers who wanted it they could maybe just have it say DVDTalk Reviewer. I don't really care if people know how many posts I have or how long I've been a member but having people be able to connect me to the reviews and feel like they can ask me questions or make suggestions would be pretty useful. Just a thought.

I think it is a great idea and I'd be glad to make the change by hand for each of you, assuming there are only 20-30? I haven't a lcue on the number.

Excellent guess, though, Bushdog. There are 21, I believe...less if you strip out those who are technically reviewers but don't submit anything on any sort of regular basis...

I actually set up a DVD Talk Reviewer Group in the forum, just haddn't gotten a chance to add the reviewers to it.

Will do soon!

Can we change the DVDTalk Evangelist title to something with less religious connotations ?

I agree. When I reached Evangelist status, I padded like crazy to get to the next level ASAP (before the crackdown). I think that title should be changed. Maybe we could have a poll to vote on a replacement?
