Question about self-promotion

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=124730

Is this cool? The poster has admitted it's his own site (although I would have liked him to do so in the original post, which set off my scam-radar something awful). Similar threads have been closed in the past, but I submitted this link to a mod earlier today and nothing has been done.

On a side note, am I blind, or is there no link to DVDTalk forum policy for a registered user? I tried to get halfway through the "make new account" process to read it there, but VBB won't let me, and I'm too lazy to delete cookies.

HFLIX always either defending or promoting themselves

A member by the name of HKFLIXdotcom is always replying to messages from people who post even moderately negative comments about HKFlix. Since it's his company, of course every message he posts is going to be biased. What I really hate is when he follows up with a bunch of self-promoting posts. This just encourages other dvd etailers to do the same. It must stop.

The rules may be a bit different when dvdtalk has official relations with the site. I don't mind.

I sent a note to my contact at HKFlix, I'm all for stores responding to customer feedback, but I agree that it's a little much, especially in that thread: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=122799

I like this line from the second link above, third from the last post:

Also you can use "e b a t e s" in conjunction with cduniverse.com to save another 7% off your purchase.
