Will moderators be using the merge/split thread function?

Just curious!

And, er, are POLLS and postcounts to be removed?
(vB polls; not Desmondp ones!)

We'll see. The key here is load. I am working on closing off some of the 'new' features which take a lot of load.

How is the software horrible? It has all the features of the previous version, right? I don't much care for some of the default graphics, but that has nothing to do with the software itself.

Also know that I'm working with the code and graphics to try to get it to be VERY close in look and feel to the old version.

Phew! Postcounts gone! Hooray!

Some of the on-the-fly, fleeting changes have been quite fun! For example the various icons that have been moving from top to bottom and bak to the top of the frame.

All looks well enough now, however.

Those who have LAN caches at work may well need to get their friendly neighbourhood sysadmins to clear them out once all has calmed down. (Last time some folk said that they had some minor problems with icons/graphics that had been cached on their LANS and so were not seeing the Board in the same way that most other people saw it....)

What are those star ratings about?

<b>ctyner</b>?

Anyone?

(I've just realised that when checking the various "edit profile" type functions I've disabled viewing all signatures. Weird, but good!)

They should be removed. Let me know if there are any star ratings left

I don't see it active now, but vB 2.0 lets users rate one another. I think Geoff turned it off, which is probably for the best.

Sorry if my post about the graphics sounded accusatory or critical, Geoff; that wasn't my intention. I don't like the default graphics and layout, but I knew you'd take care of it as soon as the kinks were worked out software-wise.
