Is there any archive of old posts? I would love to read about all the wonderful bargains that used to exist in the days of reel.com and Amex rebates, etc.

i dont think there are any archives of DVD Bargains...but i'm sure if you ask people will tell you. I think the concensus on the oldest really good deal was the 800.com 3 dvds for a $1

Actually, there used to be an archive section of this forum, with some great old threads (some from the bargain forum) .. but I see now that it no longer exists. Oh well.
