There's a Book Talk and (Ugh)TV Talk and even a Video Game Talk but no Music Talk? C'mon who's the brains behind these forums?

I think there should be a Music Talk too!

I agree- post a thread in the feedback forum and then hope to get enough responses to get a forum.

I'm still shocked that there is a TV\VG\Book talk since this is DVD talk.

Thing is there are already two Music Forum threads, both of which have gone unanswered for the most part. So starting a new thread is kind of pointless. Try bumping one of the existing ones.

Don't we already have too many forums? Soon someone might ask, "Why isn't there a Religion forum?" or "Why isn't there a Health forum?" or ...

I think there should be a WeatherTalk forum, an Arts&CraftsTalk forum, a BusinessTalk forum, a TravelTalk forum, a RelationshipAdviceForum, and about 25 more because it really is TOO much of a pain in the ass to click to get to page 2 and beyond of the Other forum when threads drop off the front page.

music can come on dvd's so it does tie in some. Although I think it is discussed a bit in Other. Maybe we should leave a topic or two for the other forum

But those aren't topic usually discussed in Other. This is different. As of late, there haven't been any real discussions (the what song is this from... ones don't really count as discussion IMO). It'd be nice to see a Music Forum, as lots more discussion would take place. If a music forum would be made, I know I wouldn't want any more topics to be taken out of Other.

As I've said in the other threads, I'd support this as well. It would eliminate one of the main reasons I spend time skimming through all the crap in other.

I seen no problem with a music forum, or the Video game and TV forums. Sure this is DVD Talk, but in reality it is a home theater site. Music, Video games, and TV are all things we use our home theaters for.

You know what I meant. People like you keep saying that dvdtalk should live up to it's name blah blah blah, but you think the other forum should stay when it has nothing to do with dvds at all.

OK, here's the deal.

THERE WILL be a Music Talk forum.

I just like to stagger out, new forums so that they don't get lost in the shuffle.

One of the details I am working out is if it is going to be in the General Discussions or DVD Discussions.

If I had to launch it today it would probably be in the DVD Discussions and be titled something like:

DVD-Audio and Music Talk

hmmmm, I like the sound of that .

I will probably launch it in the next couple of weeks....
