Burning DVD's

If I download a MP4 movie that is longer than four hours, which my 8x DVD+R DL will hold, then convert the MP4 to DVD with my converter, when the disc is full will I get a message to insert another disc and it will continue burning?

No- it sees everything as a "file", and if that file is bigger than 8.5 GB (the capacity of a dual-layer DVD) it will not let you burn it. It's possible to compress the video a bit more and fit more time, I've seen porn discs that run 8 hours altogether, but that isn't advisable. The resolution of standard DVD is limited enough without overcompressing it.
