Re-write DVD's
 

Is there a 8x DVD that I can burn a movie to then write over it with a different movie later? I've checked Amazon but can't find anything. The ones I have are write only. 8x DVD+R DL
I should mention that I've found the 4.7 GB re-writable discs but I want the 8.5 GB.

I've never seen rewritable dual-layer DVDs. I do have one rewritable dual-layer Blu-Ray but I haven't been technically proficient enough to do much with it. I've digitized a lot of old TV recordings longer than 2 hours; I just fill the single-layer disc to its capacity, load that into my computer editing program, then start a second disc with a bit of overlap and edit the two parts together seamlessly, then burn that to a dual-layer DVD.
