Are most dvd players compatible with dvd+r?

DVD players and dvd drives in pc?
will I run into problems sell my videos on dvd+r? I've had no issue with dvd-r but have any of you professionals distribute or sell dvd+r without any problems?

a yt video said most dvd players 2006 or later are compatible with either
Is it true?

I've found the + format to have better compatibility altogether than the - format. I had one cheap DVD player that has since died that would not play dual-layer DVD+Rs, no problems with any other machines including a Pioneer DVD/LD player made in 1998.

It seems all the single-layer burned DVD titles sold at retail (like Warner Archive) are DVD-Rs though, I have one dual-layer Archive disc that is a +R. I actually have never seen a dual-layer DVD-R, supposedly those can only use parallel tracks instead of the more usual opposite-tracks.

I don't think computer drives would be a problem.

I think many older players had potential issues with "plus R" blanks, though.
