100 Years Olympic Films Criterion DVD versus Blu Ray?

My order for the Blu Ray set was cancelled, BUMMER!, and they, (B&N), don’t know if it will be back in stock before sale is over! But they do have the dvd set. Anyone who has, or who has seen a comparison btw. Dvd / BR, would wonder what you thought of the video differences as most of these films are older and in film any way but wanted any one who has seen the dvd , their opinions as can’t find any comparison on line.
Thanks

I can't vouch, specifically, for these sets, but in general if it's coming from film, there's no reason Blu-ray shouldn't be better (older or not). There are certainly exceptions, but considering the vast quantity of material in these sets, I would absolutely want the best quality, as there will most assuredly be segments that are greatly improved with the Blu-ray set.
