Is "Master & Commander" still the ultimate demo disc?

For years, M&C was considered the go-to disc for showing off your pimp surround sound system. I attended a few CES shows and DTS were using it as their demo disc.

I have bought very few DVDs in recent years and was curious if anything has come along in the last 16 years to supplant it. Even after all this time, the chase around Cape Horn still floors me.

Hmmm...good question. The audio is still incredible but some of the newer object-based Atmos surround mixes have jaw-dropping highlights that surpass M&C.
