this is really interesting because i've noticed reg DVDs are becoming completely phased out. to have a new show, and one of the most popular shows no less, out on standard disc rather than HD or Blu, seems odd. i get it if reg DVDs sell in higher quantity...but of my friends who continue to watch movies and TV on discs, it's almost exclusively on the aforementioned HD/Blu. i personally would love to see more of this/lower-priced hard copy releases...in fact there are (many) films i want in standard DVD that are released BluRay ONLY.

I saw this set at Walmart and I have to ask why didn't they just release a bluray/dvd combo pack?

If I'm going out, I'm going cold turkey. I would stop owning altogether and just watch stuff when it's available for free. I don't see the value of owning a virtual product that can be taken away or changed at a moment's notice.

Anyone know why this went out of print so quickly? I could see the "headband" edition being limited, but the set is totally gone now. Maybe something to do with Netflix?

It's been out of print for a while, even before Netflix took over. I'd say it disappeared from shelves around March or right around the beginning of COVID I was lucky enough to buy the last copy in a local Wal-Mart right around that time and haven't seen it anywhere since. Thankfully, Netflix has it now, so we may get re-releases down the line.
