"$1M" 20K Movie Collection For Sale on eBay (not mine, obviously)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-055-Movi...SJKj:rk:2:pf:0

The ultimate bulk sale, lol. If you are so inclined, he lists the items on the sale page. The collection includes:

Included are:

391 4K Ultra Blu-rays

7949 Blu-rays

9217 DVDs

2468 VHS

29 HD-DVD

2 Laserdiscs

1 Beta

Apparently he worked at a Pawn Shop for 10 years and came across a bunch of cool stuff (including two Criterion Salos!). Now he's moving onto other things apparently.

Take a virtual tour of the insanity here:

That has been up for a while on eBay. The price is clearly not realistic and only listed at $1 million to draw eyeballs to his sale.

My guess is that he will be lucky to get $100,000 to $200,000. Most of the super rich into movies at that level get custom digital servers loaded up with thousands of movies.

By the way, it's definitely not the biggest movie media collection.

Yeah, the price is absurd.

There may be some valuable stuff, but loads of repeated titles, and 2400+ VHS?

I'm impressed that he typed up so many titles. Even just copy/pasting them probably took a long time.

They’re obviously trying to sell to some who can’t do math. Fifty bucks a piece?

He likely has them in a catalog program and can just export a list from there.

This is just another "seller' using eBay as a platform to show-off their collection with a ludicrously high "Buy It Now" price. Next...

Does he have a YouTube show or something? It is something I would do if I wanted to become a YouTube performer and needed free publicity.

It seems he's a reseller. He sells tons of discs on eBay so it seems he's got duplicates saved away. He don't care about selling his original collection he's got backups.

He's a shady dealer for sure.

I'd say he'll be very lucky to get $20-$30k for the lot. Hell, I wouldn't even offer him $10k.

What a greedy loser.
