My votes go to:
CRITERION Cat People (1942) COMEDY Dave Made a Maze (2017) |
Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 14: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl
Crossover Group Voting
CRITERION Pan's Labyrinth (2006) COMEDY Army of Darkness (1992) Both tough choices. I had to go with Guillermo del Toro and then maybe the funniest horror movie ever made (tough choice between it and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil). However, all choices look pretty good so even if my choices don't win I will win. |
Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 14: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl
I'll like to throw up Eraserhead and Evil Dead II

For 1968 I am going to suggest Fangs of the Living Dead. It just got a nice blu ray release from Scream Factory. Alternatively, The Mad Doctor of Blood Island is my backup suggestion.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 14: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl
Sorry for the MIA on my part. I will take Jawsploitation and from the list I choose in order...
1. Blood Beach - Had the rare opportunity to see this on the big screen a few years back and can't wait to watch it again. It's probably the wildest subversion of the shark attack trope. or... 2. Piranha- because you can double bill it with the recent Scream Factory release of Piranha 2: The Spawing, and I enjoy both of them. I would also recommend a full on marathon of the tawdry Piranha remakes as well. Also the CROSSOVER GROUP voting categories... CRITERION Dressed to Kill (1980) - One of DePalma's most personal and exciting. COMEDY Dave Made a Maze (2017) - Haven't seen it, but looks quite good. Thanks for your patience, Chad. |
