Am I imagining things or was there a link to subset films we surprisingly haven't used yet somewhere in this thread?

Could the Universal themed day be on a weekend? It might be interesting to try to introduce the kids to those, or failing that watch around them.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 14: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl
Can anyone recommend overlooked gem horror movies? What are some old or new movies I've 'got' to check out this year aside from the obvious favorites?
Here are some of my recommendations: Sweet Home (2015, on Netflix) - Randomly watched this not expecting much and it blew me away, well staged and atmospheric with an intense home invasion scenario and some gore - execution and performances are top notch. From the Dark (2015, on Amazon Prime) - an atmospheric creepy extended chase creature feature; it’s nicely tense. Mill of the Stone Women (1960, not streaming) – I’m surprised this doesn’t get more spin – it’s a nice slow burn. |

I'm about halfway there on configuring the subset list, but that's as far as I can go until we get some more volunteers and suggestions.

There is a LOT of thread that I haven't read, but 7 volunteer spots and 6 volunteers for suggestions, can you let me know what that is so I can help out. 3 day weekend so I'll be able to post.

That's just the number of subset volunteers we still need, and those that already volunteered that haven't given suggestions yet. It's just like you've done it in the past - pick some themes, and give some movie picks based on them we haven't used yet.

IMDB Highest Rated Horror - I Saw The Devil
(The least viewed of the highest rated IMDB) Jawsploitation - Jaws 3 (Bonus is viewed in 3D) Slashers - Lost After Dark (80's Slasher homage with old T-1000) 1980's Video Companies Spotlight: Video Stores + Prism Entertainment - Evil Toons (Many forum goers bought based on post made last year, but may not have sat on the title a whole year) Vampires -Dracula '92 (haven't done this one yet and cheap UMD) Horror Anthologies - Deadtime Stories (Shout Release) Werewolves/Cheesy 80's - Howling 3 (Perhaps the pick most in keeping with my subset tradition) Supernatural - Ghostkeeper (Maybe also 80's Cheesy) |
