Am I imagining things or was there a link to subset films we surprisingly haven't used yet somewhere in this thread?

You're looking for the list originally compiled by rbrown498 on the bottom of the page of post 223. Link's also now in the wiki.

Could the Universal themed day be on a weekend? It might be interesting to try to introduce the kids to those, or failing that watch around them.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 14: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl

Can anyone recommend overlooked gem horror movies? What are some old or new movies I've 'got' to check out this year aside from the obvious favorites?

Here are some of my recommendations:
Sweet Home (2015, on Netflix) - Randomly watched this not expecting much and it blew me away, well staged and atmospheric with an intense home invasion scenario and some gore - execution and performances are top notch.
From the Dark (2015, on Amazon Prime) - an atmospheric creepy extended chase creature feature; it’s nicely tense.
Mill of the Stone Women (1960, not streaming) – I’m surprised this doesn’t get more spin – it’s a nice slow burn.

Yeah, I'll place it on the first Sunday of the month (10/7). That way it'll put some distance between it and the Frankenstein/Mad Doctors theme on National Frankenstein Friday.

And coincidentally, my Echo just said today is Mary Shelley's birthday.

It's fantastic. I need to dig out my old Mondo Macabre DVD and give that a rewatch. Almost purchased the German LE from a couple years back with three cuts, but passed due to only one having subtitles. Hoping for a boutique label announcement soon.

I'm about halfway there on configuring the subset list, but that's as far as I can go until we get some more volunteers and suggestions.

6 volunteers still need to give their suggestions

7 volunteer spots remain

That's just the number of subset volunteers we still need, and those that already volunteered that haven't given suggestions yet. It's just like you've done it in the past - pick some themes, and give some movie picks based on them we haven't used yet.

https://forum.dvdtalk.com/13395540-post223.html

And I'll announce what themes we could use some more picks from soon.
