Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

15% Single Item exp 11/6 2:59am ET -- if these are all used I can post some more.
New codes added below at least to make the bots and lurkers work a little harder. Used codes removed 3:30pm. New Codes added

I plan to get to that before the month ends. The trailer looked exceptionally creepy.
For today's theme I watched Children of the Night, a really unsettling Argentinian film about child vampires. The film really goes into the more disturbing areas of being an adult trapped for eternity in a child's body

Ok ok! All this talk of The Wailing has me search for where it is and add it to my Netflix queue.

Got my Paul Naschy fix in this morning with my new favorite Inquisition. He was at his best when directing, IMO.

I just remembered the Naschy Collection 2 is supposed to ship two weeks early if you ordered directly from SF, not that it'll arrive in time. Studio/distributors scheduling their releases right around Halloween is a real pet peeve of mine.

Spoiler:
Instead of killing the villain, the hero sees him with his daughter in the train station and abducts her, leaving him screaming for her on the platform. It shows the hero in a darker place than plain old murder, which he has done already, though not with the same viciousness as in the standard ending.
Hostel and Cabin Fever are the only two Eli Roth films I can truly say I'm a fan of.

The Wailing is 2.5 hours long, so plan accordingly. But I would definitely be interested in other people's interpretations.

*sigh* I'm breaking out my Blind Dead set that I never watched, only to realize there's no subtitle option and I have to watch it dubbed. Ugh.

I think that was in the big coffin-shaped DVD box set, and yes, disappointing. But then, I'm always disappointed by lack of subtitles in any situation.

No, it's a single box with all 4 movies inside. I think there might be a second version on there, though, because according to the box, it has an English version and a Spanish version, the Spanish version being 20 minutes longer. There was a screen I was confused at, so it's possible I clicked on the English version and was thinking it was the only one there. The other was in Spanish, so I don't really know what it was saying, so I'm betting it's there.

Wow, it's selling for $200 on amazon. According to my order history, I paid $18.99 for it in 2015.

lol Yeah, I remember watching the BU release for The Big Racket which only had the English dub. For such a rough and tough movie like that, it didn't make sense that the most vulgar saying heard in the movie was "Dirty Rat".

(Back to Halloween stuff) As is my tradition, I always like to see what the TV schedule is (Aside from TCM) for what will be airing on the 31st. I'm always used to seeing the Halloween films (Notably, Parts 4 & 5) repeating on AMC, but it looks like more channels are getting close to competing with it.
Hocus Pocus will be on all day on the ABCFamily channel (Forgot what they re-named it)
Beetlejuice will be on all day on Sundance.
I didn't look, but either LOGO or OVATION replays Rocky Horror throughout the night.
Three of the Starz channels (Which I hardly every associate with horror) will have multiple marathons. Monster House on Starz Kids. (The Recent) Ghostbusters will be on Starz Comedy and Ash/Evil Dead will be on the main channel....Do want to point out that I did miss not seeing Ash this month

That's likely what you did. I have the earlier, individual, BU releases of the series and the first one does have 2 versions of the film. English and Spanish. The Spanish has subtitles.

I figured as much...

Having watched Stand By Me a few weeks before the challenge, I feel as if Corey Feldman's entire life has flashed before my eyes this month. He was in a lot of my favorite stuff in the 80's...and then he was gone.

Red case I presume? The 12-page booklet that is exclusive to the red case edition is outstanding.

Just watched The Squad. I enjoyed it, but not sure how I feel about it, if that makes any sense. Should be a subset pick so it can be discussed more thoroughly.

Loved this one!

Day 19 post is up! New theatrical release, a modern post-apocalyptic survival tale, a Hammer first time viewing and a tribute to Lenzi are all inside. http://celluloidterror.blogspot.com/...ge-day-19.html

Always intrigued by the poster so I caught Fade to Black. Loved the nods to old school Hollywood and the intercut scenes with James Cagney. It's not often you get to go inside Grauman's Chinese Theater in a horror film.

Films that have scenes in or around movie theaters [Theme Idea #346] ...Popcorn, Demons, The Undertaker, Dead End Drive-In, The Tingler, etc.

I've got the Blu-ray due to arrive Thursday from Amazon, although will probably save it for after the challenge. I don't like to invest in anything over two hours with the exception of trailer comps, documentaries and mini-series that you can watch in sections.

Red case. I haven't read it yet, but I've been really impressed with the previous ones.

Now if only my Spider (and Fox) pre-order from 5/29 would get here ...supposedly next week.

I had no idea that there were 18 films in the Amityville series. I'm sure most are DTV trash, but I'll admit to enjoying the new one.

Is that a record though, 18?

Interesting you mention that because I had an issue where my pre-orders (for Spider and Fox) were paid for through PayPal, but Mondo didn't have a record of it. Jared was really cool about it though. They've since changed to a new cart checkout as those pre-orders were causing all kinds of havoc for Mondo.

Ended up that since Mondo didn't have a record of the sale I had to settle for un-numbered editions. Which is fine because I wanted the booklets more than anything. Still red case though. Hopefully everything's good-to-go for the Bride release.

Whoa, what? You sure you weren't looking at a list of DTV films starring Steven Seagal?

I really enjoyed The Wailing, but am even more of a fan of his previous work. His best movie (in my opinion) is The Chaser, which reminded me in many ways of Se7en. I actually prefer it to Fincher's film, surprisingly. The Yellow Sea is also pretty amazing (but not horror in the slightest).

Yeah The Chaser was a fantastic thriller. I wish it was available on Blu. I didn't even realize it was the same director until after finishing The Wailing. I'm eager to watch the latter a second time to see if I can pick up on any clues I missed the first time.

And nobody asked for the last 13 or 14

I think as far as horror goes it is the record. I know Bond and Godzilla have more but the only thing that comes close in horror is the Witchcraft series with 16.

Blind Dead Saga
I think Amazon's all screwed up on that link. The limited set was the coffin, and it's 5 disks. The set pictured for amazon is the 4 disk set. The limited has an extra DVD with a bunch of interviews.
