Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

The mother, Darlene, was not killed in the attack.

But, Jamie's actions were why she was in the children's hospital in the 5th movie. I'm sure they just thought she was traumatized from the Michael Myers ordeal and needed psychiatric help. They still cared about her enough to get her help.

Do we have a master list of Fangoria award winners? I know the link on the first page redirects somewhere else. I was really just wondering about the worst film winner of 1995. Of course that's the one thing we don't see on those awesome ballots that The Man with the Golden Doujinshi posted! I've tried to find via search but can't seem to find anything.

I thought about Black Friday as well, but it's October! I always splurge more this month.

I haven't seen the Italian version, but from what I understand, the stories are arranged differently. Also, the telephone story is supposed to be very different. I really need to just just watch the other version already.

I found the master list of winners that was previously posted! Here it is for those who might also need it.

As it is, I actually needed the worst film winner from 1996. Luckily, the film I wanted to hold that distinction "won" it. Hmm, not sure if luckily is the right word for that. I've been making my way through the Halloween sequels. Next in line is the 1996 worst film winner Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. I think I've seen it before many years ago but can't recall. I guess I'll go with the theatrical and then consider the producer's cut after that.

Which themes link are you using? I caught it yesterday and updated the main three - the hyperlink in the first post, the table in post 2 and the list thread.

It's not just you. I searched around because I never refreshed the discussion thread tab. I'm going with Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.

She got stabbed quite a few times and all the people did was scream and that's it. I'm pretty surprised she ended up being alive. I don't know, someone stabs me that many times, even with that person being all messed up, I wouldn't want anyone I loved near her.

Guess I couldn't avoid an equipment malfunction after all - That now makes two brand new Blu-rays (Count Drac's Great Love, Just Desserts) that temporarily froze and skipped a chapter in my PS4. Both played flawlessly in a Sony region free player.

Sonny Boy wasn't the exploitation flick I was expecting, and not even straight up horror. It's just so damn strange, offbeat and unsettling in the best possible way. David Carradine as a cross-dressing and cigar smoking "mother" is an image that will probably be etched permanently in my mind. Hopefully the SF release elevates it to cult status because it's a shame it's still so relatively unknown.

The Invitation was the best slow burn since catching The VVitch earlier this month, despite seeing the ending coming a mile away. Very glad I skipped the trailer until afterward.

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. Apparently all Netflix originals can't be winners. Normally I'd applaud a film for not resorting to cheap jump scares, but I'll take them any day over nothing at all. Watch Bob Balaban doing it for the paycheck.

thats funny. im watching sonny boy right now. its pretty batshit. David Carradine as a transvestite??@! His dad would be rolling over in his grave

i particularly like the soft violin elevator music softly playing over these scenes of torture and killing

To complete tonight's film do I have to watch a Best Film winner. Or can I watch something that won best actor, effects, etc.?

I caught Fist of the Vampire, on Youtube, and enjoyed it in a shoestring low budget b-movie sort of way (they had obvious CGI gunfire) it was machismo with sort of a Point Break of vampire cheapies vibe. I don't think I could describe it in a way to sound appealing but it wasnt bad. This is one guy Im glad made it on to the checklist, FoV was spirited and had some good ideas.

In regards to the Fangoria awards, I just noticed that The Visit was nominated for both Best and Worst film. Are these nominations user-submitted or are the staff members heavy drinkers?

User nominated. There's a ballot for awards but the worst film is a write in.

Wasn't there something regarding wild cards and doing something horror related? Does it work for theme nights and/or subsets too?

Slugs arrived in the mailbox today from the UK, and talk about perfect timing! The perfect compliment to an extra cheese pizza and coffee ice cream.

After seeing Night of the Living Dead's meta appearance in Sinister 2, I got to wondering just how many times it's been featured in films and TV on a television set or theater screen. According to the IMDB that number is 178, but that also includes clips from documentaries and such. Any websites that tally that sort of info?

Honestly, I can't recall. The former sounds sorta familiar. I don't think the latter has ever been discussed or voted on, but I could be wrong.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual October Horror Movie Challenge (Oct 1-31) Pt

Stupid Chromebook just cost me a post about the European cut of Kubrick's The Shining, something I didn't know existed until last week when I purchased a UK Kubrick BR collection. I rather enjoyed it and didn't truly notice anything significant being missing. I had to look up the differences to find there's a quotable line or two are missing, but not truly missed by me, and no significant action is missing. Of course just knowing there's "missing" footage means I had to order a copy of the US cut since that's the only one I've ever seen until tonight. I do know in the US cut there are sections of dialog where I've always felt things drug a bit and didn't notice that with the European cut. I'll know better once I've done a back-to-back viewing session but expect the shorter European cut to be my prefered version.

Reaching a point in the challenge where I'm looking at all the stuff I had hoped to watch this month and realizing how little of a dent I've put into it (got too easily side tracked).

Also trying to cram more movies into the next 2 days to try and beat how many films I watched last year, which may not be possible.

I could have sworn you said something along the lines of "and I've never written it down but if you do an event, something something wildcard. and they can be used for something something."

I hope this clears everything up

Wow, Blood Diner from 1987 was a lot of campy fun. That movie had everything in it: glam metal, cannibals, cults, a talking brain, a weird doll, naked aerobics and even a wrestling match!

Finished all of the Halloween series for once. As much as I love Freddy, I got to say, the Halloween series did a much better job overall than Nightmare. Granted, the last movie of the original Halloween series was trash (Busta should have been killed easily) and #3 was not even about Michael, there were some gems and good acting throughout most of the sequels while Laurie > Nancy any day of the week. Plus, I don't think many can stack up again Danielle Harris or Paul Rudd.
