That's awesome. I'd love to experience it theatrically with the electrical buzzers under the seats gimmick.

I'll add another to the pile. When viewing in Firefox the table border around the banner is a purplish/pinkish color that goes with the color scheme as intended. In Chrome it's just the usual default gray color. Yeah, this forum is broken.

Don't know about a poster, but probably could do a T-shirt. Then again, don't wanna be sued for multiple copyright infringements.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

A few to add to the Jawsploitation list:

Shark Night (2011)
Piranha 3DD (2012)
2-Headed Shark Attack (2012)

Also, what're The Lift (1983) and other killer machine movies doing in the Jawsploitation list? Just wondering.

Got 'em. And no clue why the others are there. These were taken directly from the now defunct "Jaws Ripoff Library" website.

^ one newer movie to add to Jawsploitation
  • In The Deep aka 47 Meters Down

This is a preview of one of my subset ideas but wanted to say something here for those looking for a newer option for another film under the category.

The Building of the 31 Film Subset has begun over in the pre-challenge thread.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

Oops spoke too soon, they cancelled the Aug 2nd DVD release & will be possibly releasing in theatres in 2017 instead it seems from what I just read online. Might be online somewhere as was released in England already I believe but not wide release available so scratch that.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I posted this last year too but I thought I would post it just one more time for interested parties:

It is a Halloween Party planning/decorating magazine from 1930. An interesting look into the past.

I did not downrez the scans so the PDF is a little big but should look great on anything you want to put it on.

Enjoy:

I love that Parties PDF. My wife and I perused it a few times last year, and look forward to again this year. Just such a great snapshot of a semi-innocent holiday before it turned all murdery.

Looking forward to this every October. And with the downgrading of the NHL season,
I can spend a little more time with my horror selections.

Thanks to Dimension X for pointing out this channel, but if anyone has a Roku, B Movie TV airs horror movies every Tuesday night at 8 and 10.

They air them at other random times as well. I'd guess maybe a quarter of what they show is horror.

An interesting horror channel I found earlier this month is Horror Habit, ran by some blogger. Here's his guide. The movies change each month. He had a pretty good variety of oddball stuff in August (check out Fangs (1981) if you get the chance).

They play in order, but you can fast forward through the ones you're not interested in.

Shudder has a free live stream on the Roku. There's about a dozen movies that rotate. Right now they're playing Sint (2010). That's a good movie for the Christmas or European Passport theme days.

The Grindhouse Channel is pretty good. They have the American Horrors live stream. And a good VOD section. Some of the movies are HD quality (and some are awful). They offer a commercial-free paid subscription.

CrypticTV is also good. They have a live stream and a free VOD section. A lot of it's in poor condition, but there are a few gems. Last year I watched A Black Veil For Lisa (1968) and Ghostwatch (1992). Both were decent quality. They played a bunch of commercials before the film, but none during the movie. I don't know if that's changed since then.

BTW, if anyone hasn't seen Ghostwatch yet, you should add it to your list this year. It's a great haunted house movie, and probably the best made-for-TV horror flick. It also works for the Halloween theme day.

Saw it earlier this week. I usually save all my horror viewings for October, but couldn't resist catching this in the theater with all of the positive reviews. I really enjoyed it.

Same. I enjoyed it, though the characters aren't too likeable and some of the parts stretched what is possible to do, but overall a really good film. It just sucks that this movie, 31, Blair Witch, and 102 other horror films come out now instead of October. I think the only horror film coming out in October is the new Ring film. And I've been waiting for 31 and for a new Blair Witch movie for some time, so no way am I waiting another month.
