Re: Last DVD you watched?
Halloween H20 - IMO these last 3 films I've watched should be the only ones in a perfect trilogy. No offense to others but IMO 3, 4, & 5 sucked!
Anyway on to do some trick or treating with the kids and then watch my DVR of the Pats-Vikings game. Have a great halloween night Y'all-:) |

In honor of Halloween, my wife & I watched 2 versions of Night Of The Living Dead, the B&W version from 1968 on VHS, and the colorized version from 1990 on DVD. We both thought the newer one ended better...;) -kd5-

Re: Last DVD you watched?
Over the past 48 hours in this order ...
I completed season one of Rescue Rangers within the Volume 1 set. Friday The 13th (1980) Elvis Presley: Speedway - Terrible film. Gojira Godzilla Raids Again Mothra Vs. Godzilla Friday The 13th Part 2 Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Gigantis, The Fire Monster Godzilla Vs. The Thing Yes, that was 3 Godzilla movies, first in the wonderful original uncut Japanese version, and then later the US dubbed versions. King Of The Monsters is still good. "Gigantis" is one of the worst things I have ever seen or heard. What were they thinking!? "The Thing" was terrible when compared to the original Japanese version. Though the US did film a new missile attack scene. Anyway, I've seen most of these before so this wasn't my first time watching them with the exception of "Gigantis". Couldn't bring myself to watch it last time I owned this DVD. |

Re: Last DVD you watched?
I needed a return to my comfort zone after the Horror Challenge and Election Day so I started a Bond-athon. I started with Dr. No, then did some straightening up around here with This Is Garth Brooks! from the Garth Brooks: The Entertainer DVD tin set and then back to Bond with From Russia with Love, which I still consider the greatest Bond movie ever made.
The chemistry between Sean Connery and Pedro Armendariz is infectious, and Daniela Bianchi remains one of the most beautiful Bond Girls (even though much of her styling is horribly dated). Throw in John Barry's score, the sheer awesomeness that is the Gypsy camp segment and Robert Shaw's screen-dominating performance as "Red" Grant and voila! Cinematic greatness. |
