Sherlock Holmes BBC series with Peter Cushing -- 6.5/10
George Carlin - It's Bad for Ya -- 7/10 -- probably the worse of all his stand-ups on DVD, but far superior to almost anybody else (except for Mitch Hedberg)

Just got back from visiting with a friend. After dinner, we watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which I hadn't seen. Great production design, and one of the stronger John Williams scores of the last 15 years, I thought. Good cast, too. Wasn't terribly wowed by the story, though, and some of the special effects shots haven't aged well.

I applaud this film for not getting too ridiculous with the twists/turns. Just enough to keep it interesting.
