Does anyone have any information about the rumored dvd/bluray release of Abel Gance's Napoleon? I thought BFI might release it this fall but have not been able to get any more information.

I'm going to this and I'm extremely excited! It's my all time favorite film and I urge people to see it. Fantastic film!

Looking forward to it. I was a kid when Francis Ford Coppola toured with it, so I read all about it at the time but was too young to go. Had it on VHS for a while. I love the way silents look in HD.

Get all of your cinema friends to go. I saw it in Oakland in 2012. The experience is magical. While I am anxiously awaiting the BFI treatment, no matter how great it is, it will pale to the experience in the theater. Enjoy!

I saw it in Oakland too. This movie is an incredible experience, so I'm glad to see it coming to BluRay.
