I just hit 90 with the audio commentary on Creature From the Black Lagoon. It was interesting to note that while Ricou Browning just thought of it as another movie, Ben Chapman, who played the creature on land reveled in the role, even still appearing at conventions.

I'm in the home stretch now, with only 10 more to go.

I had a great late-night double-feature last night: the MST3k episodes of The Incredible Melting Man and Squirm. Hard to believe anyone sat through both those movies in their original forms, but in MST hands I laughed a lot. Perfect way to end the week.

[Speaking of late-night double-feature, I just remembered I have the London live Rocky Horror on my DVR. Got to get to that this week.]

With my hitting 90, I'm not sure how much more I'll get in today. I'm thinking, since I have a week left, I may coast my way to 100.

I like the idea of today's catch-all Theme Day with four different themes to choose from; but I'm probably not alone in my OCD requiring me to watch at least one film from each of the four, right?

You can watch The Navy vs. the Night Monsters (1966) and knock out two themes at once.

I wish, but nope, against my 'rules'.

Just finished another great FTV: Bloody Birthday. This one is a more exploitative entry in the "killer kids" subgenre, closer to the likes of Who Can Kill a Child? rather than The Bad Seed or The Omen.

Well, Ben did conventions, he passed away several years ago. It's funny you say that about Ricou though because he is still active on the convention circuit haha.

You can say that about Bale, Cooper, Lawrence, and a lot of A list actors.

Has anyone seen Pontypool? Just watched it and curious on the thoughts. I know one of the Soska Twins love it.
Pontypool is one of my favorites in recent years. Go Canada Horror!

Thanks for reminding me that I still have a few unopened MST3K sets to explore.

Wasn't it a subset pick here one year? Either way, I know it's gotten a lot of positive talk here over the last few years. I loved it.

Fantastic commentary!

And tonight don't forget:

And of course The Walking/Talking Dead.

What a great time to be alive (I love coffee).

Give It Follows a chance this Halloween. Easily one of the more captivating horror films I've seen in recent memory. One of the few horror movies over 90 minutes that actually feels too short. The director sets a great tone and they picked a perfect suburban setting.

That list based on your answers from trivia question 2 is up:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/features/the_top_movie_t.html

And just for the record, there was a 4-way tie for the #10 spot between Suspiria, Ghostwatch, Lady in White, and The Midnight Hour. I'm guessing 17 was too much to include, so it was narrowed down to 13.

Notice how they correctly did the numbering, Chad?

Loved it. If we could only get that kind of originality every 20 or so zombie flicks...

I *think* it started last year when I narrowed it down to three winners total. It was either due to the amount of prizes available, or less people doing the optional stuff. Can't remember which.

Sweet. Need a half entry and that will suffice.

Are there any other new Halloween specials this year?

Oh, yeah. That's what I'm doing.

Incidentally, as many times as I have watched Constantine, I never realized there was a scene post-credits until tonight.

The ending didn't bug you? It was really good, but there were a couple of things that could have been done a bit better to me.

The distractions are mounting:

Don't they know not to release anything in October!

Also, no touching until Halloween:

If anyone's looking for some free movies on the Roku, Shudder recently updated their livestream line-up. You can watch it without being a member. The movies are uncut and commercial-free.

https://channelstore.roku.com/details/59997/shudder

As far as I can tell, the movies are played in this order:

Horror Express (1972)
Murder Party (2007)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
The Haunted Castle (1921)
The House of the Devil (2010)
Slugs (1989)
And Now the Screaming Starts (1973)
Black Sabbath (1963)
Dead & Buried (1981)
From the Dark (2014)

I feel your pain. My wife bought me a Playstation 4 the other day (birthday present), that threatens to put a dent in my numbers... must resist 6 more days...

Well, work calls, have to do OT the past two weeks. Lost a day off each of the last two weeks.. So I figure that I will lose at least 6 entries on my list. I still should have a favorable showing. But I could of had a better final score. Well, nothing that I can do about that.
