I think I skipped that one but Hellraiser has it's own version starring Lance Henriksen called Hellraiser: Hellworld. It's not great and I'm not sure it isn't one of the sequels where they had an idea for another film and then figured out a way to put Pinhead into it but it certainly feels like it.

Ssssshhh... we don't speak about such things as the later Halloween sequels aloud lest they hear us and become summoned.
Edit:...there was also a Hellraiser installment with a cyber video game plot, Hellraiser [8]: Hellworld (responding to below \/ )
Why do people keep making me think of crappy movies?

The Splat Pack is probably the closest we've come.
Unfortunately that one provides very little in the number of entries, but we could stitch a few similar ones together - Famous Directors That Started Off in Horror / Directors Who Came Late to the Horror Genre / Horror Movies that are one-time Directorial Efforts / The Up & Up: The 10 Horror Directors to Watch

I'm going to suggest Samhain: An Evening of Celtic Horror
Many of the Halloween traditions that we are familiar with began in the "Celtic" countries of Scotland, Ireland and Wales. This evening would pay tribute by highlighting films that have a connection to those countries. Many to choose from including THE WICKER MAN, DOG SOLDIERS, BODY SNATCHERS (and all Burke and Hare films), DR. JEKYLL AND MR HYDE, etc.

I added this to the suggestions list on post 2:
Director Stew - Started Off in Horror / Came Late to the Genre / One-time Directorial Efforts / Up & Coming
Name and categories within are subject to change.

I'm going to suggest Samhain: An Evening of Celtic Horror

Also I have not actually posted it but you know I am down for a subset pick (of questionable likability).

I really like this idea, here's an IMDB advanced search showing horror movies with the term 'vs' in the title... there are 106 but a lot of muck.

If anyone (like me) thought this one sounded familiar, you're probably thinking of 'Remakes vs Sequels'.

And speaking of mainstays, this is what we currently have:
With the exception of Christopher Lee, these are the usual returning themes. Is everyone alright with these coming back? And did I miss anything?
- Criterion Crossover
- R.I.P. Christopher Lee
- Werewolves (Full Moon Day)
- Horror Anthologies
- Asian Buffet (absent in 2013)
- Slashers, Giallos & Serial Killers
- Horror Comedies (absent in 2012)
- Vampires
- Zombies
- Supernatural
- Demonic/Satanic on 'Devil's Night' (used the last 4 out of 6 years)
- Halloween-Related (+ Samhain: An Evening of Celtic Horror)

^ Comedy can be made Comedy Challenge Crossover for the November 1st hours. That would free up a theme night.

Personally I'm not a fan of the "asian buffet" theme and would prefer to see that switched out with a different region (or topic); perhaps Celtic, Spanish, or Italian horror. Maybe some unique significance of asian horror is lost on me or I'm overlooking something.

Yeah, how about just a foreign night where one must watch a horror movie in a different language (with subtitles if they please)?

Dig deeper into the "Asian Buffet" category because there's an entire world (and decades upon decades) of amazing Asian horror films that have nothing to do with the run of films that made J-horror famous in the US about a decade ago such as The Ring, The Grudge and so on.

I totally agree; however the same could be said for many other regions - Germany, Italy, Spanish, etc. Asia is a large geographic region but if we want to get into deeper digging then seemingly it could be swapped out with European, Canadian, etc regions that also have plentiful horror output especially if we go into less mainstream titles (which I assume is the point of 'asian buffet' night).

Maybe I've just been oblivious but I stumbled on a horror subgenre that I hadn't heard of before called "Psycho-Biddy," aka "Grande Dame Guignol" or "Hag Horror." Movies from 1960s-1970s about insane/bitter older women with glamorous past that have turned villainous; typically vehicles for older notable actresses that have aged out of mainstream cinema. It's amusing to me that this subgenre exists because it's reverse of scream queens but might also make a unique checklist item (or theme night).

I'd prefer this, so you have a more global choice.

Passport to Sheer Terror! - European Horror (This was during the first year before hyperlinks were included, aside from the sole Lovecraft one).
British Fright Cinema - Hammer, Amicus & Ealing (Also during the first year.)
Outback Chillers & Kiwi Killers - Australian / New Zealand
Ooh! Scary, eh? - Canadian Horror Films
¡Mierda Espantosa! - Spanish Horror Films
Bavas, Argentos and Fulcis, Oh My! - Italian Horror Films
Viking Decapitation Via Windmill - NetherHorror Vs. Norwegian Horror
And BFI's 100 European Horror Films ...if that counts.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 11 Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl
South Africa is slim pickings. But among that list doing European horror would probably make the most sense being it was during the first year of theme nights when it wasn't very popular, because it didn't have a hyperlink attached. And a good chunk of British only horror would be covered by the Christopher Lee theme.
I could do something along the lines of the Asian Buffet only with European horror and divide it among the countries with links for each. Just an idea.

What would have been H. P Lovecraft's 125th birthday was yesterday. How about a night based on his films.
