Question: Matrix - original DVD (unaltered color timing)

So I'm looking to buy the first Matrix on DVD individually (I have the ultimate collections of the series both on DVD and BD) because I want to get my hands on the version without the heavy green tint. The thing is that I'm not sure if WB has maybe replaced the original discs with the new ones (that first came in the ultimate collection). What i basically want to know is: if I pick up the first film individually on DVD then can I be sure that it is still the original release?

Thanks

You are looking for the snapper case with this art

And here are some comparison screen shots

Pretty big difference, I am now a little sad I traded in my original release in a Best Buy upgrade and save.

Wow, some of the scenes look better on the blu-ray version but why in hell did they add the blu-green tint in other scenes? I have the original DVD, hope it lasts because I'm reluctant to upgrade to the BD after seeing that comparison.

I didn't know that they had uglified one of my favorite movies. I'm glad I have the snapper.

The green tint was added to "matrix" scenes to make it visually match the sequels.

I picked up the dvd from the store and it is indeed the original so yay. I really preferred the original look because the Matrix looked more real (the green makes it feel very artifical).

I seem to remember alot of discussion about this when it first came out. Wasn't the "real world" supposed to look washed out and the "matrix" supposed to have a green tint to it? Did they only add that after the sequels came out?
