I have to admit that ST Enterprise is the only one I haven't watched either! It was on my list to watch last month but just didn't get to it as I got side tracked by ST:TNG. There's always January!

Although the challenge is over, I'm still watching Cowboy Bebop episodes. I don't know why I took this long to discover it. My wife also requested to binge watch season two of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so I'll be going through that as well.
Glad you're excited! I tried to get a diverse selection that would be interesting and hopefully not something people already had. I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop, but I am getting the movie to watch this month to get it off my unwatched list over at Icheckmovies. Perhaps if I like the movie, I'll look into the shows of it. Good luck with season 2 of Agents of SHIELD. I still have 5 or 6 episodes left and it's taking me too long to finish. I'm at the point where I'm not enjoying it near as much as I think I should be and may just skip season 3 altogether...

As a Cowboy Bebop series fan, I should warn you that the movie's serious tone is very different from anything in the series. In fact, I didn't like the movie at all. I don't remember my exact criticism, although I'm sure I could find an old word file with it.

Here's a quote from one of the reviews at DVD Verdict:

On the other hand, the film's gravest fault is its lack of ambition. The movie feels as if Shinchiro Watanabe had an extra 30-minute story at the bottom of his file drawer, and since he already had 26 episodes for the series, filed it away until now. Then he just padded it out to four times its proper length for a feature film. The pace is as loose-limbed as the characters: endless sequences of Spike and Faye and Jet (and even Ed this time around) wandering off to investigate, with the story periodically interrupted by a modest but well-staged chase or fight scene.
Their BR review was more kind but I got the impression that both reviewers liked the film in spite of that paragraph.

The movie is currently on sale at Amazon. $6.99 for the BR (which I think is a Best Buy PM) and $9.22 for the DVD.

Re: The Official 8th Annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge Discussion Thread

As I have not heard back from the last two prize winners, I am going to go down the line to the next two people.

Congratulations shellebelle and konekonoir! Prize packs 2 and 4 are still available. Please let me know which one you'd like.

I'll be giving you guys until Monday, August 10th, 6 pm central time to let me know before moving on to the next person.

I will be gone most of the weekend starting tomorrow afternoon, so if you don't hear back from me right away, don't worry.

Congratulations again!

Yay! shellebelle claimed their prize! That's prize number 2. The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec, J.R.R. Tolkien: Master of the Rings and Lord of the Rings the Animated Classic.

That just leaves prize package number 4!

I have been so busy packing for the last week, I forgot to even check the discussion. So of course I win the one time (okay, maybe tenth time) I have to move . Congrats to all the winners and thanks for LJG765 for running a great challenge.

Well, I have not heard back from konekonoir by the deadline, so the last prize is being reallocated. As I heard from pagefrance during the weekend, I will let them claim it. Congratulations! You'll receive prize pack #4: Science Fiction Theatre Complete Series!

Sorry, Indy, pagefrance contacted me a day before you did, so to be fair, I reverted back to them...there's always next year! I hope that your move went well and that it's the last time for a long while!

My prize came today. The day before my birthday, so a nice birthday present. Thanks again to LJG and Goldenwheels.

No worries, just getting to be in the challenge itself is prize enough for me

My package arrived yesterday in pristine condition. Thanks, GoldenWheels and LJG! And perfectly fine on the timing since I won't be watching these till next January or July anyway.
