Have this on Blu-ray (I think) and maybe I'll kick it in later. Probably going to start my marathon crossover within the hour. Hope to make the first day a good solid one.

wasn't gonna do this but decided once i got home tonight I didn't want to watch anymore horror at the moment so I turned on Netflix and watched Jim Norton's standup and forgot how much I enjoyed what I got to see last november.

going to try to hit 30 items. most will prolly be stand ups

If you don't; it and a couple other Ernest films on BD are $1 at Dollar Tree.

Just finished my first comedy of the day with Rat Race, the all star movie about the race for a huge jackpot.

I, too, ended the Horror and started the Comedy challenges with Ernest Scared Stupid followed by Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein but followed them with Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Tonight I'll continue that theme with Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy and Abbott and Costello Meet The Invisible Man.

This month's theme for me is going to be the complete Three Stooges filmography, from their first film to their final short, including solo appearances*

*No Joes. Joes aren't Stooges and never will be. Choke on that, Joe lovers.

Not tomorrow, but I'll be taking my son to see it at some point in the next couple of weeks.

Caught the tail end of the Looney Tunes Show on Cartoon Network this morning, enough time to catch part of the 2nd cartoon, and all of the 3rd one, a Foghorn leghorn cartoon, where he thought the baby ostrich was his son, Your Mother Was a Rooster.

Just finished an episode of Wings on Reelz. Seems there is a lot of comedy on tv if you know where to look.

I'm definitely checking out Wreck it Ralph for today's theme. The only 2D screening is at 4pm, so I'll be hitting that one.

Trying to fit in a few for today's "Fish out of water" theme. Starting now with Ishtar. Prepping myself with the fascinating and detailed chapter on its production woes from James Robert Paris's book Fiasco: A History of Hollywood's Iconic Flops. It's one of those books that makes everything you watch far more interesting...and Ishtar needs that kind of help. LOL.

I would but my brother wants to go on his birthday which is in a couple weeks. Looking forward to it!

Got off to a good start this challenge. I am going to try to get through some of my unwatched sitcoms and decided to begin with 3rd Rock from the Sun's third season. Good times!

Got in 5 sitcoms so far today, with eps from Wings, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and My Wife and Kids.

Forgive me if I missed it in the thread, but what about featurettes and other disc special features? I usually don't go out of my way to watch them; but if I have the disc in anyway to watch the feature and know they count I'd probably just finish the disc.

If you've never seen the shorts that Shemp did before he got back with the Stooges, you should. They're really top quality and share most of the co-stars (Tom Kennedy, Christine McIntyre) of the Stooges flicks. The funniest of the Howard brothers, in my opinion. I've never seen any of them before today and now I'm trying to watch them all.

Shemp was also in Africa Screams, where he played a very nearsighted gunner.

I've been in the mood for Irwin Allen since about halfway thropugh the horror challenge, and see that Lost In Space has a comedy subgenre listed on imdb, so I might start working through my Lost In Space sets, and watch it every Saturday night on MeTV.

I hadn't thought about special features. I'd say yes and no: Yes to funny extras (bloopers/out-takes/gag reels, deleted scenes, in-character or otherwise humorous commentaries, etc.). No for "informational" extras (trailers, film historian commentaries, serious interviews and making of docs, etc.).

And thanks to whoever got the list thread stickied. I wasn't around a computer Thursday, and I forgot about it yesterday.

I hadn't thought about doing the themes (other than Horror Comedies on the first), but since I'm hosting this thing, maybe I should. It shouldn't be too difficult to watch an episode or two of a sitcom that fits on days where I don't feel up to watching a movie...

Two days in, and I already crapped out on the daily themes. I didn't watch anything yesterday. :(

The sun isn't up yet. You have/had time to watch a short or sitcom that qualifies.
