Formerly-pressed DVDs now on DVD-R

Can anybody point me to a list of formerly-pressed DVDs that are now available only on DVD-R? As an example, The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao was originally released as a pressed DVD, but now it's only available through the WB Archive. I've searched the forums, but I can't find any kind of comprehensive list of these titles.

Also, while WB seems to have the greatest number of these titles, I'm not looking for one company in particular. I know that some of the Something Weird/Image titles have gone this route, as well as some of the Columbia titles.

So, can anybody help? If not, can we start a sticky with a list of these titles? I know that sometimes it can be cheaper to find the pressed titles (like Fingers for $3 at Big Lots vs. $14.95 at the WB Archive) than to spring for the MOD versions--and the pressed versions should last longer as well.

EDIT:

Since a list doesn't seem to be forthcoming, maybe we can build one here. Here's a list of what I've found so far. If anyone sees a mistake or knows of another that needs to be added, post it and I'll add it to the master list.

^If the OOP Hammer titles are any indication the answer is generally yes from what I've seen.

Vision Quest is another one. I guess the DVD-R version is anamorphic WS, so it does have that going for it over the actual DVD.

You can add Nightbreed to the list as well.

I think it's really too early to tell. I think Hammer titles might be highly collectible and might not be a good representation. But we'll see.

I was wondering if this would be WS, I will put this on a list of MOD I'm willing to buy. I just wish they would have sales in lull part of the year. The best sales are during BF and I'm way too busy buying other stuff, so I keep procrastinating.

You're it! Thanks for the thread. I was pondering starting one for North American DVD-R's available as pressed DVD's elsewhere in the world (but in the International forum). Here are a few more for your list:

The Astounding She Monster (Image)
Giant From the Unknown (Image)
Monster From Green Hell (Image)
Tailspin Tommy and the Great Air Mystery (VCI)
D.O.A. (Roan)
Pre-Code Hollywood - The Risque Years #1 (Of Human Bondage / Millie / Kept Husbands) (Roan)
Pre-code Hollywood 2 - (Bird of Paradise / Lady Refuses) (Roan)
Lonely Wives (Roan)

For this title, I believe you mean VCI.

Edit: also The Last of the Mohicans (VCI)

Thanks tao for the additions. Actually, thanks to everyone for the updates. I have a feeling that this will start to get a bit out of hand somewhere down the line, but at least it's manageable for the time being.

So, please keep posting as you stumble across more. I have a feeling that I missed a few of Columbia's, and I completely forget to check the Universal list--so expect a few more titles when I get the time to research it.

I would imagine the release of the Hammer titles on Blu-ray (already a certainty in Region B) will put a dent in the DVD values.
