Online DVD Catalog Sites?

Since dvdspot shut down and glyde has eliminated cataloging and with ***count being down at the moment, can anyone recommend me a (or several) good online DVD cataloging sites?

I know theres DVDAF, but is there any other ones I don't know about?

Thank you, but unfortunatly with the exception of DVDAF, all those are cataloging software. Which is good, but im looking for online ones, not software.

Unfortunately, blu-ray.com is not a cataloging site. Im looking for online cataloging sites like what dvdspot used to be, and what DVDAF is.

Re: Online DVD Catalog Sites?

Is online entering of the info a requirement, or just viewing your catalog?

DVDProfiler lets you put your catalog online, but you have to enter it offline through their software.

You can catalog at Blu-ray.com, here's a link to the DVDs in my collection (I was just playing with it, so there's only a few in there)

Can I ask what you're looking for that DVDAf apparently doesn't have?

I've used AF for years, and it's served me well, but then I don't really ask a whole lot of it either, just a way to keep track of what I have.

I guess im just looking to see what the options are out there since ***count will be shutting down. I like something with a nice layout like what dvdspot and glyde had. But it's looking like my options are limited and so far I spent several hours re-cataloging all my DVD's into DVDAF. Though id still like to know what other options there are out there as fas as online cataloging goes.

Try iTrackMine.com, I've been using it for awhile. You enter your DVDs by UPC, it's a good place to keep your collection and have a value report for insurance purposes. Oh, and did I mention it's free?

I use DVD Profiler as well, I know I don't need to do both but I don't like to keep all my eggs in one basket (so to speak)... -kd5-

Is the forum censoring the name of that other site? What is ***count?

Re: Online DVD Catalog Sites?

I think it's dvd count (if I remember correctly, the owner of the site spammed this forum when it came out, so they ended up blocking him and mention of the site)

Re: Online DVD Catalog Sites?

I look around for an online movie catalog/collection site all the time and there just doesn't seem to be an all around good site which is odd considering how many people collect movies. You have great sites for books and comics but not really music and movies. I prefer the look and ease of entry at dvdcorral though I also use iTrackMine.com. Things I like about DVD Corral is it's stability - its been around for years, has auto populated meta-data, allows you to rate films, tabulates a retail value of your collection, and has a nice browser/display interface. What would be nice is searching and an alphabetical index link to jump around your collection for look-ups. With iTrackMine I don't really care for their clunky browsing of your collection.

What I would like to see is an online site that blends a DVDTalk experience along with an online collection database for at least major formats: blu-ray, dvd, vhs, and laserdisc so you could maintain an online collection, trade list viewable by other members, a forum, and edition specific listings within reason so you could separate a title by format and release tied to cover style that would auto populate from imdb and allow stats on your collection with exporting of your collection for backup...

Perhaps something similar to this comic site but without the price valuing:

comicbookrealm

Now there are always disagreements about an online site with or without ads but I can put up with them if it means there's a free online option...especially if you can pay a one time fee for a non ad experience similar to librarything.
