Just a guess at my end...House's final season should be out in August or September and a complete series either by the holidays or sometime next year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a day-and-date release alongside S8, which based on past seasons should be along around late-August time..

That doesn't make sense. You gotta first milk people buying S8, then make a whole new set (probably to be released next year) to get people to buy the entire series.

I dunno, there's a lot of precedent for releasing complete series sets on the same day as the final season (eg Desperate Housewives coming soon).

I think companies are realizing that it's a good idea to release a complete series set on the same day the last season is released as well, since if people don't own any other seasons, they are usually just waiting for a complete set and not very likely to purchase a standalone season

Could be. I am, admittedly, several years out from the DVD-buying game, so maybe companies have finally smartened up.Originally Posted by Wezzo

I often wait for the inevitable complete series sets, but in the case of House, with the season sets so cheap so often, I think I'm current.

Coming October 2nd on DVD only.
You can Pre-order it for $149.99
It looks like just a re-package job from the previous sets. No new extras or bonuses.

Mind you, I'm not a regular watcher of the show, so I could be completely missing the relevance of it, but what the hell is up with the picture on the cover with the facepaint?

I have absolutely no problem with no extras/bonuses. I also prefer when Complete Series come in their original cases as well. I enjoy when companies design an interesting complete series but I hate when the discs get wrecked due to the design, Alias is an example of this, a pretty big one IMO

The clown makeup was part of the promotional campaign for season 6. Nothing relevant to the actual season.Originally Posted by MTRodaba2468
