? RE: 24 CS Redemption dvd in the set

Picked this up new for $100.00. Never watched it but always wanted to see it after all the good reviews and that was a price I was willing to buy it at. My ? is where does the Redemption dvd go in this set? Is this something you watch at the end of the series or is it like that 1rst X-Files film where you watch it in between certain seasons??? If so which seasons? Any help would be appreciated-
Thank You-

Re: ? RE: 24 CS Redemption dvd in the set

Here's the order:
  • Season 1
  • Season 2
  • Season 3
  • Season 4
  • Season 5
  • Season 6
  • Redemption
  • Season 7
  • Season 8

Mind my asking where you got it for $100? I was going to pick it up for $120 at Best Buy, but obviously $100 is a better deal.

Re: ? RE: 24 CS Redemption dvd in the set

Yeah sorry actually I got it on sale at Best Buy this week for $119.95 but I had $20.00 in Reward Zone certificates so I used those and it came to $99.95 + tax-
Thanks for the info by the way. This is really a nice set and packaged very well! Can't wait to actually see this series when I have time-

Glad you're interested in 24. My favorite show of all-time. Day 2 is my favorite, though Day 5 is the best (one of the best seasons of television you'll ever see, hence the Emmy Award)

Enjoy!

I'm still suffering the withdrawal symptoms. Hard to wait for that new movie to come out. I need a Jack Bauer fix bad.

So what you meant to say was, "Picked this up for $120."

Re: ? RE: 24 CS Redemption dvd in the set

I caved and bought this. The completist in me just couldn't resist, even though I already have all of the individual seasons. I had a $50 Best Buy Gift Card and $15 in Reward Zone Certificates, so I figured this was as good a time as any to buy the set. And at least the Bonus Disc makes me feel like I at least got a little something extra out of this.

Unless Best Buy changed policy and you can trade in Reward Certs for cash, then yeah, he got it right.

The set looks great and all, but I just can't justify double dipping. I already have the season 1 Special Edition Tin Box along with 2-6 on DVD, Redemption on DVD and 7 and 8 on BD.

Here's all of the 24 DVDs that I currently own...

24: Behind The Scenes - The Editing Process
24: Season One - Episodes 1 & 2 (Starter Set)
24: Season One
24: Season One (Special Edition)
24: Season Two - Episodes 1 & 2 (Best Buy Exclusive Preview Disc)
24: Season Two
24: Season Three
24: Season Four
24: Season Five
24: Season Six - Premiere Episode
24: Season Six
24: Redemption (2-Disc Edition)
24: Redemption (Best Buy Exclusive 3-Disc Edition)
24: Season Seven
24: The Complete Series
All I'm missing as far as individual seasons are concerned is Season Eight. Part of the reason I got The Complete Series was because I disliked the inconsistent packaging when I had the sets on my shelves. The other reason was that I really did want the bonus disc with the extras, specifically the scene with Chloe. And of course the 24-fan and completist collector in me really wanted the big set for one of my favorite shows of all time.

Re: ? RE: 24 CS Redemption dvd in the set

kstublen, did you ever get the Best Buy bonus disc with the Season Five set?

"Keepin’ it Real: The Stunts & Special Effects on 24"

I completely forgot about it, until your post inspired me look through my collection. For the actual bonus material, you can view it here:

on a side note, I just finished Day 4 and blasting my way through Day 5. Ahh, what wonderful memories. Epic.

I envy you, sitting there for the first time looking at 24. I love this show, miss it alot. You' re in for the best time of your life. Since you have the full set. You wouldn't be able to just stop looking and wait for the next day to see the continuation. . You have to let us know what you think.
The next set you should get is LOST.
24 and LOST was the best thing on tv.

Glad your joining in. Better late than never.

Just curious. Why didn't you try 24 when it was on the air for 8 seasons? Was it just lack of time or interest at the time? It along with Lost were probably one of the most popular shows in TV Talk for weekly discussion.

I know, and that's great. But, it causes confusion when any of us post what we paid for something including reward zone certs or any other certificates/coupons that are unique to the individual only.

The first reply to your post was someone wanting to know where you got it for $100. In some cases, people have gone to stores expecting to find a product for price x because a poster said so, only to find out later that the poster forget to mention that the price included his coupons or whatever.

Why would any of you care the price I paid "out of pocket" when that included a RZ cert of gift card from mom?

We're here to share info with each other, and listed the actual price is much more helpful imo.

No, that's one of the few things I'm missing.
