looking for some recomendations

hey everyone i am fairly new to watching films/ dvd's or what ever it is you want to call them.

I am looking for some recommendations of older films. I am trying to expand my film watching. As i said in my intro thread the oldest movie i have is Child's Play.

I am open to all suggestions.

So please don't hold back.

thanks for you suggestions and your time

Luis

I've run across many good movies I never would have seen by doing this process.

Make an account at www.icheckmovies.com
Check the movies you've seen and then do this link http://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/unchecked/
By default, it'll sort the movies that are in the highest number of lists first. The stuff with many checks are generally pretty solid but the more you work your way through it, you'll find films that may or may not be to your liking.

They also have some lists based on genres, so if you like horror, there's a horror list with 500 movies.

Deadwood was a great series that ended to soon

try "El Dorado" with John Wayne. I'm not big on westerns either but that's a good one. If you're looking for more of a western spoof try "Blazing Saddles"

It's A Wonderful Life (1946) for a feel-good story.

I'll assume you like horror given you mentioned Child's Play, so with that in mind:

Psycho (1960) - Hitchcock
The Shining (1980) - Kubrick
Halloween (1978) - Carpenter
