Why are the Clone Wars (2003) volumes so expensive?!

Ahoy,

There was an awesome, short series called Star Wars: Clone Wars, that was made in 2003. I have the first DVD.

Anyway, to buy them on Amazon.com, it costs $35 for Volume One, and $52 for Volume 2. Keep in mind that Vol.1 is a single disc, and only 69 minutes long. Vol.2 is 64 minutes long!

The only thing I can think of is that they must have been discontinued. That's terrible! It's being completely overshadowed by the new 3D Clone Wars.

They went out of print a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

Any plans for a new release? Perhaps a box set of both together?

The expensive one on Amazon's listings are from third party sellers, namely DIRECT Liquidations for Volume 2. I'd second the recommendation to buy used.

Cool. I got my first volume at a thrift store, as well, for about a buck. Now I can't even find it. I'll probably eBay them someday.
