(Twice the funny – Famous comedy duo’s )

Bob Hope & Bing Crosby
Laurel & Hardy

Gene Wilder & Richard Pryor
Chris Farley & David Spade
Abbott & Costello
Doris Day & Rock Hudson
Martin & Lewis
Allen & Rossi
Morecambe & Wise
Peter Cook & Dudley Moore

All these made at least two moves together (except for Allan & Rossi). Not sure how strict the duo bit is supposed to be, but this list should give you a start.

I'm watching Bedazzled with Peter Cook & Dudley Moore.

Most people watched Stripes on Military night but I think Bill Murray & Harold Ramis made a great comedy duo.

I was pretty much on track for hitting 100 but then I went on vacation over the weekend and got crabs.

Spoiler:
Dungeness crab to be exact

^So how did getting crabs slow you down? Take too long getting rid of 'em?
Spoiler:

After all, that should be the ultimate TV dinner!

I did catch one movie on my ipad at the cabin in the middle of the night. We got back Saturday night and cooked and cleaned them. Unless my wife did it today, there's 5 more than need the meat removed. We caught 27 and so far we've had sushi rolls, crab chowder, crab cakes and the small sampling you end up eating when you're taking all the meat out.

Spoiler:

Screwball - What's everybody watching?

I just watched JUST GO WITH IT and in the genre section on IMDB it says "Comedy / Romance / See More"

Clicking on "See More" I found Screwball at 25, so I think I'll JUST GO WITH IT!

Mine is a success too because I finally watched Airplane! (previously discussed in one of these threads).

Pretty dumb, but there were laughs to be had.

Took another biggie off my to-watch list: Sullivan's Travels! Got a second chance after missing it in the Criterion Challenge.

so if imdb lists a movie as a 'comedy' it counts - right?

That is one of my favorites! I am a big fan of the Powell/Loy teaming. They are just too funny. Watching the Thin Man films is often like watching an intricate, comedic ballet.

I was doing so well at the beginning of the month. However, I decided to finish the third season of Star Trek: TOS which is often unintentionally funny which probably doesn't count.

Yes. And if it's *not* then look at allrovi.com as their genre assignments count as well and differ on some titles. They may have a title listed in a specific genre when IMBD does not.

What's a "sketch comedy"? A keyword search on IMDb brings me to results of nothing I own unfortunately, most of them looking like TV series. It looks like I picked the wrong day to use the wildcard.

Guys got any prize ideas yet? I have 0 problem picking them myself, I just need to know. Suggestions welcome, check the Hamiltonbook.com website under movies/comedies.

Probably a good idea if you come up with some, otherwise you are left to my tastes, in which case someone will almost certainly be receiving the criminally underrated Caddyshack 2.

For tv it would be, Saturday Night Live, MadTV, Fridays, Ben Stiller Show, Mr Show, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Kids in the Hall...

For Movies, Kentucky Fried Movie, Amazon Women on the Moon, The Groove Tube...

My suggestions: (note: I'm not sure if there's a price point in particular you're allowed to go by for DVDTalk prizes)
-CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK: Amos 'n' Andy.
-CONVOY: 30th Anniversary Edition.
-NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS.

I was wondering if we'd heard from Trevor since the nuptials, but I just saw he reserved a spot in the list thread yesterday

Re: First Ever November Comedy Challenge discussion/suggestions/comments thread

I just finished Cheech & Chong's Next Movie (1980) for Stoner night. I thought I'd seen all their films but I didn't remember *any* of this one! Of course this was released after I'd gotten married, had a kid, and was deep into keeping a family afloat on a single income...
