Anyone seen the new Widescreen Sextette?
I was wondering if anyone on here had seen the new Widescreen DVD edition of Sextette Mae West's final 1978 muical comedy?
I gather that the picture quality is much improved on the last DVD outing from Rhino which was by all accounts a dreadful release - the British Region 2 version was far superior in picture quality but was a full frame picture , wheras the new Scopion Entertainment release is in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen.
I gather the new DVD has as an extra a short interview with Ian Whitcomb who worked with Mae West on her Naked ape album recorded in 1968 but not released until 1972 or 1973 as Great Balls of Fire ( Sextette uses the Happy Birthday Twenty One for a lip synched song during Mae West's character Marlo Manners' visit to a body building gym! )
