Hey Dude Season 4 isn't officially out until next week, but I ordered from Shout's authorized seller on Amazon and had mine late last week. Insert is set up the same as previous releases with episode summaries inside. Also for those wonder all episodes are taken from the masters so no quality issues like Melody's Brother from Season 3. Now we just need Season 5 to finish off the series.

Not a Shout release, but I figure people reading this thread will be interested that Are You Afraid of the Dark? Season 1 is getting a DVD re-release in Canada. So if you missed buying it when it was released in 2006. Here is your chance to get it without paying $150+. You can preorder from Amazon.ca now.

Nice! I hope they re-release the rest of the series as well. I still need season 4 and 5.

It's not Shout Factory, but I'm glad that Are You Afraid Of The Dark is getting re-released in May. The original Canadian releases (these new ones are Canadian, too) are FAR too expensive for what they are.

If they re-release all of Are You Afraid Of The Dark and the price is right I'll definitely be buying those. I have no idea why Are You Afraid Of The Dark has been treated like it has by Nick. Kids and adults would be interested in DVD releases and at the very least they should have been playing it a lot around Halloween.

The Price is Right? That wasn't on Nickelodeon.

Hopefully they re-release all of them eventually. Seasons 1 & 2 come first.

Yeah. I was really wanting to get the canadian sets from a few years ago, but there was no way I was going to pay upwards of 50 dollars for a single season.

Are we getting Rockos Modern Life S4 and Angry Beavers S4? I was glad to support these releases, but its like the initial buyers are getting hosed with these complete series after the fact....

I just sold off my Rocko 1 & 2 for like $12 each before the Complete Series came out. It made much more sense to just do that, than to buy 3 and wait for 4. Unfortunately, that would be hard for anyone to do now.

I'd really like for Shout to pick up unfinished stuff like Clarissa Explains It All, Pete & Pete, and Salute Your Shorts. Even more obscure stuff like Welcome Freshmen and maybe even a best of for Double Dare.

I'm wondering if I should hold off on getting any other seasons of Hey Dude, I have the first 2 but it looks like Shout is releasing complete series towards the end, so maybe they'll release a complete series of that as well. I'd love to see a complete series set for Aaahhh!! Real Monsters, I hope that's coming soon too!

YES! And Alex Mack. I really can't believe nobody has finished up Pete & Pete...

Saddle up with Benjamin Ernst (David Brisbin) and his fun-loving crew for one last season of laughs, adventures and life lessons down at The Bar None Ranch! All 13 episodes of the fifth and final season of Hey Dude are coming to DVD July 16, 2013, only from ShoutFactory.com.

The Final Season starts at full-gallop when Melody becomes obsessed with a beauty contest, Ted mysteriously begins shrinking, Kyle and Ted get lost in the desert and Jake gets threatened by a wild guest! Hey Dude stars Christine Taylor as lifeguard Melody, David Lascher as senior staff member Ted, Kelly Brown as horse trainer Brad, Joe Torres as Hopi Indian native Danny, Debra Kalman as ranch hand Lucy, Josh Tygiel as Ernst's son, Buddy, Jonathan Galkin as Ernst's nephew, Jake, and Geoffrey Coy as the amiable cowboy Kyle.

Hey Dude ran on Nickelodeon from 1989-1991 and has since become a cult sitcom favorite. Yippie-kay-ay-ay for Hey Dude: The Final Season!

Pete & Pete Season 3 is sitting in a warehouse somewhere in California. The most credible rumor I heard was a last minutes music rights issue.

I went to the reunion show in NYC and they did basically say that. I think it was a Luscious Jackson song that held up release. They were all pressed and ready to release.

DoctorWhosScarf 07-03-13 09:44 PM

Re: Nickelodeon/Shout! Factory Releases

If that's the case then I say just replace the song. I hate when they have to do that and it doesn't change that discs have already been pressed, but I've had enough of this crap where musicians are fucking up releases. They could have made something off of season 3 and instead they're making nothing and screwing over Pete And Pete fans.

And let us not forget....

Part cat, part dog, part 8 more episodes! It's CatDog: The Final Season! Join CatDog for one last season of not getting along and loving it. Starring Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants), Jim Cummings (Super Hero Squad Show) and Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko's Modern Life), this DVD collection includes all 8 hilarious episodes from The Final Season!
The 4th and last one comes to DVD this August 20th with CatDog - The Final Season from Shout! Factory. This single-disc release is priced at just $14.97 SRP, and the cover art can be seen below. In late 2010, the classic late'90s Nickelodeon show Aaahh!!! Real Monsters had all four seasons represented on DVD via Amazon's CreateSpace manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program. Fans weren't satisfied with that, however, so the next year Shout! Factory struck a deal with Nick to release this show to stores as season sets, using traditional DVD manufacturing and distribution methods. Between late 2011 and late 2012 Shout! put out the first three seasons, leaving only the fourth and last one waiting to be released.

The studio hasn't announced that one yet, but in the meantime Shout! Factory is jumping ahead with an all-encompassing release of Aaahh!!! Real Monsters - The Complete Series. A pre-order release at Amazon (see button link below) shows that the 8-DVD set will be out on October 8th, priced at just $29.93 SRP. Here's the packaging:

Since mid-2011, the folks at Shout! Factory have been putting out traditionally produced DVDs for the classic '90s Nickelodeon series Hey Arnold!. This followed manufacture-on-demand releases from the Amazon CreateSpace MOD program in 2008 and 2009. This past May, Shout! released the fourth season as part of their online studio store, leaving just the last season of the show to come out. Earlier today, Shout! Factory posted on Instagram the below image, a sneak peek at the box art for their upcoming 3-DVD set of Hey Arnold! - Season 5: The Final Season. It says there to look for the set in August, hinting that it will be another Shout! Select online exclusive. No further details were given, nor is there a specific release date or pricing available as of this writing. Stay tuned, though, and we'll keep you up-to-date as further developments occur! Our thanks to reader Michael J. Felix for being the first to tip us off about this.
