My complete series set of Doug arrived and so far I'm liking it. I hope all of Are You Afraid Of The Dark gets released soon. It'd be nice to have that in time for Halloween.

For anyone in the NYC area:

http://www.ticketmaster.com/nite-of-...004CE7CBE6E1FB

New York Comic Con's New York Super Week is proud to announce SLIMED! Presents A Nite of Nickelodeon Nostalgic Nonsense!

Why only remember your childhood ... when you can relive it?

(*Please read all specifics here before you start barraging us with questions that are likely answered if you just take the two minutes you will need to read all of this; thanks. Love, Team Xmas.)

The event will include:
1. A live performance by Polaris, the house band of The Adventures of Pete & Pete, fronted by Mark Mulcahy ("The greatest voice I've ever heard," says Radiohead's Thom Yorke).

2. A live performance by Fred Newman and Dan Sawyer, the masterminds behind the music of Nicktoons' Doug. ("Killer Tofu," anyone ... ?)

3. A surprise celebrity guest panel with stars from some of your favorite Classic Nick shows, moderated by SLIMED! author Mathew Klickstein.

4. A live podcast by The Adventures of Pete & Pete's Michael Maronna and Danny Tamberelli (Big/Little Pete, respectively, though Little Pete has little to no respect for anyone except for Artie ... and MAYBE Big Pete). The Pete's are bringing along a few special guests of their own, as well, from both the world of Pete AND Classic Nick in general.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. (Link below.) Discount Code for presale tix: NYSW.

Price:
Regular Tix: $28 ($35 with service charge)
VIP Tix: $68 ($81 with service charge)

*If you have trouble on the Ticketmaster website determining which is a regular ticket and which is VIP, you can tell the difference because one is far more expensive than the other.

VIP Tix entitle you to a pre-party before the event (also at the HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM at Manhattan Center). 6:30pm - 7:30pm. There will (likely be) open bar/catering. There will be mingling with other Nick Kids like yourself and some of the celebrity guests of the event (opportunities for meet-n-greet, autographs, photos, buying of merch, etc.). Your seat at the event itself will be at an extra-good location in the Ballroom. Yay.

Thanks, everyone, for your continued support of SLIMED! and Classic Nick, and we look forward to another killer event with all of the best parts of the ONLY NETWORK FOR YOU, NICKELODEON!
Got my tickets. Polaris!!

Is there plans for Nickelodeon game shows like Double Dare, Guts and Legends of the Hidden Temple?

As I posted in the Wal-Mart thread in DVD Bargains, I found this for $18.96 at my local Wal-Mart last night. A steal at this price.

Shit. Really? I kept waiting for the price to drop online. I'll have to go check out my local stores. Thanks for the heads up.

My Walmart had the Rocko complete series set for $15 a few months ago. I'm going to have pick up Hey Arnold for that price.

I hope you and dex were able to pick up the set! I missed out on the Rocko set for $15 and I'm still kicking myself a bit. I'm hoping it drops down that low again sometime.

If this set sells as well as it should at this price, I'm crossing my fingers we get similar complete series sets for CatDog and The Wild Thornberrys. I've held off on the individual sets thus far.

I had to go to 3 Walmarts...but I found it eventually. Thanks for the tip.

I found it at my Walmart also. Great price for a good show.

Just joined btw,

But anyway, I had to Walmart site-to-store my copy of Hey Arnold! Complete Series. Unfortunately, both cases came with broken disc holder/flaps. I don't feel like dealing with my local Walmart's horrid Customer Service.

Anyone ever have any luck scoring free replacement cases from Shout!?

Also, I hope Shout! re-releases the Rugrats and Rocket Power that are currently MOD releases, as did happen with Hey Arnold.

Not if you buy from retail. If it's from their online store they will replace for free.

Well right now, the complete series Hey Arnold set isn't available on their site, as they sell it as a Walmart exclusive. They only sell the single seasons on their site.

Meh, maybe I can swindle something outta them somehow.

It doesn't hurt to try. E-mail [email protected] and tell them your conundrum. They do have really good customer service.

But where the hell is the Salute Your Shorts releases?? I wonder what the holdup could be. It's just as popular as Hey Dude or other older Nick shows. :-\

I'll have to get the third and fourth seasons of Are You Afraid of the Dark? eventually. Good series and surprisingly holds up well. I wish they were official releases instead of MOD but oh well.

Just a heads up, I was in Walmart today and I found CatDog: The Complete Series for $19.96. I believe it is a Walmart exclusive until December. As with the Hey Arnold set, this might not be at every location so good luck everyone! This is a steal compared to buying the individual releases.

Not Shout Factory, but Amazon has Doug for 12.99

Re: Nickelodeon/Shout! Factory Releases

Yikes. I'm slightly kicking myself in the ass for paying $35 for each of Doug's first 4 releases and then also paying for the complete series at the original price.

Oh, well. At least the show is available.

Re: Nickelodeon/Shout! Factory Releases

For what it's worth, I just received Doug: The Complete Nickelodeon Series from Amazon and the discs appears to be factory pressed, not DVD-R (despite "DVD-R FORMAT" being listed on the disc labels). There are batch numbers around the center rings and everything.

I was hesitant to order this set because I was hoping Shout! Factory might put out a real DVD set one day, so this was a nice surprise.

Re: Nickelodeon/Shout! Factory Releases

Shout to release the complete set of Two Guys and a Girl (nee Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place)

https://www.shoutfactory.com/tv/come...omplete-series

Despite becoming an obvious Friends ripoff when the cast expanded from the titular trio to 6 twentysomethings (3 guys, 3 girls) in an urban setting, I always enjoyed the show. Ryan Reynolds' comic timing was fantastic, and the rest of the cast was just as good.

Not sure how I feel about that price though. Yikes!
