Why isn't 'Birdman of Alcatraz' on DVD yet???
I love this great Burt Lancaster film and wonder why it has never seen the light of day on DVD? Any info out there on this title?

Huh? It's been out on DVD for 10 years (release date: 3/6/2001), and you can get it for ~$10 bucks at any DVD retailer. I bought my copy years ago from Columbia House.

But it's non-anamorphic. Would be nice if it got a new transfer, but we all know that ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, but it's 1.66:1 non-anamorphic, so annoying but could be much worse.
