What's the last season of "The Simpsons" that you plan to own?

I own the first 7, and I think I may stop now. I have very mixed feelings about 8 - it has a few great episodes, but a lot of clunkers too, in my opinion.

I know that this topic has been discussed in many other threads, but none of those threads had a poll.

Stopped at Season 11. I stopped laughing with the show around then.

I will buy all of them even though after season 11 or so it started getting bad. There's a few gems in the latest season (that being 13) but I bought season 20 and it was pretty rough to sit through. But I am a completist and I love the series and when the later seasons start coming out it will be like buying a show I've never seen because I haven't watched the series in about 3 or 4 years (meaning the new episodes).

I've got everything released to this point. So, I'll more than likely continue to buy the seasons as they're released.

I had already stopped at 10. If they have a REALLY good deal on subsequent seasons I may bite, but I haven't even finished watching past S5 yet.

and speaking of, they still haven't announce anything for season 21? It's been over a year since 20 was released.

I stopped with season six. So I have that stupid Homer Head sitting all by itself.

I'll get them all as it will always be my favorite TV show. There are a couple episodes in even the worst seasons that I enjoy and I buy these sets not only for the episodes but the great extras and commentaries. Hell, I've probably watched the commentaries more than the episodes on DVD.

Add that all up with the fact they go on sale for ~$15 or lower often, I don't see why most fans wouldn't scoop them all up.

After buying the first two seasons, I stopped buying them after realizing they weren't very re-watchable.

All of them, but waiting for sales now rather then paying full price on release. I stopped buying on release after Season 7, that was when the quality started to dip

I stopped at S5, but like others mentioned, will probably go up to S10 if the price is right. If my ship really comes in, might get them all, but the older I get, the less of a completist I am.

I'll pick up any Simpsons season as long as it's $15 or less

I was going to stop at 10, but decided to pick up 11 last Black Friday. Beyond that, I don't know. Maybe I'll get more if they're cheap enough. I'm in the middle of 8 right now, and am still enjoying it.

I stopped at 12, but would get the rest if I see them under 10. I think I kept buying them outta habit.

I will probably go ahead and get everything after catching last nights episode, give me hope for the last 7 or so years I haven't watched.

I stopped at 10, I'd need to look up the episodes for any other season. I stopped watching regularly around season 15 or 16.

I think they only released season 20 because it was season 20, they just wanted to capitalize on the fact that the show had hit 20 years, I don't think they plan on releasing anything past 20 until they actually get there.

The bigger question is where the hell is season 14?

Re: What's the last season of "The Simpsons" that you plan to own?

I have had such bad luck with this series that it's unbelievable. I have the first 12 seasons and have had to have exactly 50% of them replaced because they were defective and one or more discs would not play through to completion on either of my DVD players. I recently purchased seasons 11 & 12 when Amazon had the $13.99 sale. I am now watching Season 12 while waiting for the replacement set for Season 11 to arrive!!!

Anybody else ever had such bad luck with any series? This shocks me. And, even though Amazon has never questioned my request for replacements it is still more of a hassle than I want to continue to go through.
