Scream

Are there any releases of the 3 Scream movies that are anamorphic and in Region 1 ? I heard that of the individual releases, 2 and 3 are anamorphic in the Trilogy box set but only letterbox individually. Are there anamorphic versions ?

Aren't 2 and 3 anamorphic in the trilogy box set and in the individual Collector's Series releases ?

I'm talking about the Collector's Edition. I read that the second and third movies in the trilogy set are anamorphic. Are they ?

Yes, Scream 2 & 3 are anamorphic (not the original though) in the Collector's box set. All three are available in Blu-ray though from Canada with correct "anamorphic" transfers. Not sure if there is an anamorphic regular DVD of the original anywhere.

Re: Scream

I can't 100% confirm it because I don't own it but the Canadian DVD release from Alliance claims to be anamorphic according to its packaging.

The new packaging is exactly the same as the old packaging from the 1998 (?) release except in small print on the back it says "2.35:1 Enhanced for 16X9 Televisions" whereas the old 1998 cover just says "2.35:1 Widescreen" and is not anamorphic.

I also saw the three pack on Blu-ray from Alliance which indicates that all three films are anamorphic.

It is still the theatrical version, not the uncut version that was available on Laserdisc.

I'm sure if you can hold out until April there will be new versions available when Scream 4 comes out.

Re: Scream

I couldn't find a dvd from Alliance. Also, I'd like the blu-ray set, but it doesn't have the commentaries.
