Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
I shall never not trust you again Real DVD/ MvieGuy... Due Date was officially announced today (or at least the first official announcement I have publicly seen for it) as Feb 22.
FYE got me all overzealous like I knew something others didnt!
I'm a little disappointed with the news of Jackass 3 coming out today... there was no announcement for a 3DBD for this title, only that the Blu Ray would come with an old school 3D presentation.
Hopefully the 3D BD will be a store exclusive, because I want this in 3D

I was in there buying some music. when I looked over and saw that they had Pirates of the Carribean: at worlds End street date as Oct, when i knew for a fact, that the date we set was Dec 4th.
Over the years, i have discovered that 90% of their street dates and MovieStops were More like Predictions and not actual Announced dates

LOL MAO, well if that's your "Last Dancer" you have bigger problems
I am not happy with March always being a "Dump" Month
even with the additions of
127 hours
Love and Other Drugs
Fair Game
Black Swan
Little Fockers
Yogi Bear
The Kings Speech
Country Strong
there are also Rumors of
Season of the Witch, The Warriors Way, and Frankie and Alice also getting dates in march
waaaay to many

The King's Speech is offical, the street date is 4/19
it will probably end up being the only film among the ten nominated for best pciture to not be available on DVD/BLU RAY before the end of march.
I got word, that because of the overcrowdedness of March, a few studios are now looking at April to move to, Yogi Bear, originally slated for 3/29 is now looking like 4/5
Harry Potter is looking like it will stay on 4/12
Frankie and Alice is still looking like 3/22
Black Swan and 127 Hours are still March, not sure on the exact dates
The Warrior's Way looks to be 4/5 now
The Fighter looks to be 4/12
Rabbit Hole is scheduled for late April
Little Fockers is scheduled for April 29th
Country Strong is now scheduled for Mid April
Gullivers Travels is stills scheduled for march 22nd
True Grit is scheduled for April, orginally for 4/5 but now looking like 4/19
The Illusionist, Bitiful, and Blue valentine are all scheduled for April
Season of the Witch is scheduled for Mid April
and Finally, we at BVHE will be releasing "The Tempest" in either Late April or Early May, we havnt decided yet, as we are watching everyone elses moves. The film which went limited in Dec and stars Helen Mirren, Russell Brand and is a musical/drama is a hard releases to pin down. we dont want it to be forgotten, so we are trying to figure out a good date, i believe we are leaning more towards May, just because May will not be a title heavy month, with just No strings Attached, The Dilemma, and The Rite being the biggest titles.
hope this helps
