Too Sad to those who CANNOT WAIT and shelled out $100+ ( I wonder if they cant afford anymore the cool $64.99 Tron 1 & 2 collector's set)?

The identity disc does look pretty cheap.
I don't think I'll get any of them, even though it's my favorite movie.
I don't have a Blu-ray, so even if it comes with a standard DVD, I can't watch the special features.
And I don't want to buy the bare bones DVD because that's like saying to Disney to keep putting out inferior standard DVD's.
Oh, and I think the reason they made the original Tron re-release have such a crappy cover is because they didn't want to confuse any possible consumers who would mistake the similar pose for the new movie, and vice versa. Even crappy designs have a purpose. Or maybe it's just bad design with no excuse.

Perhaps the eBay prices of the 20 Year Edition will come down now?
You should pick up the Blu combo for now, you might change your mind when your old TV and regular DVD player die and you have no choice but to buy a Hi-Def system.
I don't like how they have to plaster "The Original Classic" all over the latest TRON release, as if today's shoppers are that ignorant and need to be told; but perhaps many of them are.

I was in target yesterday (looking for something non-DVD related) and a shopper was having trouble communicating with a twentysomething year-old Target associate about getting a copy of the original Tron. There were plenty of copies of Tron:Legacy on the shelves, but not the first movie.
After five minutes of explaining to her what he was looking for, she still had no idea that Tron: Legacy was a sequel to a movie that came out in the plasteocene era (e.g. the 1980s).

Also, it's not much more than the DVD to buy the Blu Combo. (And it also seems to be OOS most places, and with Disney, you never know if/when they reprint/vault stuff)

Probably. And not just the shoppers.

Re: Tron: where in the world can I find it?
I'm so happy doing what I did, which was to sell the 20th ann and wait a few months for the blu-ray. I do feel that it was foolish for anyone to pay the prices that the 20th ann was carrying on ebay and so forth.
