Re: MGM adds cult titles to their MOD service
Reporting back on the quality of the Rolling Thunder disc as promised. It's anamorphic widescreen and the sound and picture quality is decent throughout. There's no dropouts or serious flaws, that I could see. It's definitely not HD quality at all, but I wasn't expecting that.
As far as the movie itself goes, I really enjoyed it, but it was fairly different than what I was expecting. The movie is definitely a slow-burner, but I never felt the need to check my watch. There's was always something interesting happening. I'd call it more of a character study than an action movie. I'm glad I purchased it, as I'll surely watch it again someday. William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones both put in great performances.
