Chad, did I miss the big reveal on the SWV prize(s)? Or have you not gotten it yet?

Just about finished with New Nightmare. Took me longer to watch the series than I hoped. Damn real life getting in the way. And I think New Nightmare will be the last movie I can get in today, I have to work, and thursday nights at work usually turn into lots of free food and drinks and watching whatever musician is touring in Anchorage that week. And then, Jackass 3D midnight show. Maybe I I can cut out of the post work party early tonight and get in one more movie.

Precisely how I feel. I think I'll be picking up the Slumber Party Massacre set next week, maybe the Twice Dead/The Evil double feature too.

I just watched Horror Hotel and it is awesome, a perfect Halloween movie to be sure. I only wish they were all like it...

So I thought I'd give some horror on YouTube a try.

First: When did YouTube start allowing nudity?

Second: Why the heck did I pick Flesh, TX and OC Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown? Please, please don't ever watch those.

I don't think they allow it. It gets pulled if it gets reported.

And thanks for the warning, although I think you and we would know what to expect from those titles.

If I have time, I plan to do a full Romero "of the Dead" marathon one day.

They must have a movie policy of some sort now. The movies I listed featured nudity, but were full versions, titled "Official" and rated with an "N" for nudity. Still, you'd think they'd have an age of consent or NSFW warning (well, I guess that's what the "N" is for).

Yeah, you're right...

Good timing! There was a package sitting on my front porch when I got home late this afternoon.

Inside was one copy each of:

- The Devil's Hand (1962)

- The Embalmer (1965)

- The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave (1971)

- Garden of the Dead (1974)

- Night of Bloody Horror (1969)

There's one potential sponsor left and that's Full Moon. I'm still awaiting word from them and at this point, well, it doesn't look so promising, but you never know. Regardless, I couldn't be happier with the prizes this year.

If the question is "Would I enjoy The Haunted World of El Superbeasto?" the answer is "no."

I wanted to like it and could appreciate that it was an adult cartoon but still found the humor more cutesy than laugh out loud funny. It's mostly just a steam of bad sex jokes.

Just watched the Grindhouse blu-ray...so happy to finally get a release of this, reminds me of how much fun it was to see at the theater.

I'm at 71 movies, looking at my stacks of unwatched DVDs/blu-rays - it feels like I haven't even made a dent, let alone all my catalog titles I'm wanting to re-watch....

Agreed. It was pretty tough to get through that one. I keep wanting to like Rob Zombie movies, but I just never seem to be able to.

Just finished up The Exorcism Of Emily Rose which I thought was pretty good. A nice take on the whole exorcism genre.

But about a minute after finishing that I stumbled on The Stepfather remake on demand and just hit play... this beer is ruining my life through shitty movies.

I remember around late May/early June it was $12-13 on Deep Discount with Free Shipping.

Only remember that because I got back from Weekend Of Horrors: Part 1 in Los Angeles the week before (where I paid $25 if I remember).

You probably meant to say "stream", but also considered typing "steaming pile of crap". It was horrible, perhaps my worst blind buy choice out of the thousands I've made.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 6th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (Oct 1-31) P

Just watched Lost Things earlier this morning and really enjoyed it. Story's nothing new, but the way it's told really worked for me. I also watched Doppelganger with Drew Barrymore the other day. I have no clue what they were thinking when they made that thing. Certainly fun to watch, though. The scene with the faux FBI agent is unintentional comedy gold.

Anyway, I'm throwing a recommendation out for Sauna. I wasn't expecting much when I caught it last December, but it was the biggest surprise I've had in a while.

I totally agree. I thought it was awful. I enjoyed the nice homage to the opening of Frankenstein and then it was all downhill after that. I'm fine with sex jokes and adult humor but this was juvenile.

I just finished Pick Me Up (Masters of Horror) and enjoyed it, I think I'm going to stick to the theme for the rest of the day.

I watched Monster Squad earlier and had no idea it was from the same director as Night of the Creeps, I've always loved both films, I just for some reason never mad a connection.

Just made it halfway to 100 but I'm still averaging, per day, about 10 movies behind of my goal of 135.
